Zagadnienie przedstawiono w aspekcie porównawczym i dynamicznym.

The paper analyzed solar radiation resources in the valley of Widawa river on the basis of 64-year (1961–2014) measurement series of global radiation and sunshine duration in the Wrocław-Swojec Observatory (SW Poland). The issues have been presented in comparative and dynamical aspects. They have been compared yearly and monthly radiation sums (of global radiation or sunshine duration) and their extreme and average values with the radiation data from other regions of Poland. The dynamics of variations between the following months, seasons and from year to year were taken into account. Such an analysis is not only calculation of basic actinometrical features of the Wrocław-Swojec area, but also a reliable presentation of average values and variability of solar radiation resources in the valley of Widawa river.

The paper presents the relationships between daily sums of global solar radiation and real sunshine duration and separately, mean for a day amount of total cloudiness (computed from three standard observation terms) within 11 May - 31 July period in Felin. This period is approximated to the insolation summer one and is characterised by a long day (at least 15.5) and slight differentiation in time. The relationships were obtained on the basis of mean decade data and a stretch of single days during five seasons (but not successive). They were described with two types of equation regressions: linear and curvilinear (a 2-degree polynomial). Additionally, the same relationships were determined regarding the days without and with precipitation during the examind summer periods. The analysis performed in relation to effectiveness of each of these equations application to estimate daily sums of global solar radiation (the relative and standard errors) showed that better results are obtained from the equations concerning relations of the solar radiation with sunshine duration than cloudiness. It also reveated that to describe both types of the relationships, a polynomial is more effi cient than linear regression (particularly in the case of daily data examination). Moreover, it was stated that determination of these relationships for some specific days (eg. days without precipitation) is appropriate as it allws to estimate the daily sum of solar radiation with smaller errors.

The aim o f the studies was to characterize time structure of the real sunshine totals in the Szczecin Lowlands and frequency and variability of number of hours with the sun lasting > 4, > 6 and > 10 h in 2000-2004. The largest daily real sunshine total in the Szczecin Lowlands amounting to 6.6 hours occurs in the first ten days of May, whereas the lowest one, 0.8 h, in the third ten day period of December. During the calendar spring (March-May) a 40% larger number of hours with direct sun radiation is observed as compared to that in autumn (Sept. - Nov.). In March, June and September the real sunshine totals before the noon are larger than those in the afternoon, whereas in December there are no distinct differences between them. An average number of days with real sunshine lasting > 4, > 6 and > 10 h is respectively 141, 97 and 14 and its maximum occurs in May. In spring and summer the frequency of days with the above threshold values is approximate and it amounts on average to about 55, 40 and 10% respectively.
