Wskazano główne zalety i wady nowej technologii oraz kierunki dalszych badań, wśród zalet wymieniając m.in. poprawę bezpieczeństwa i wyniki finansowe.

The article describes a new solution facilitating and accelerating the security of the so-called „reces ses" at the intersection of the longwall face with the top or bottom gate during mining operation. The methods of performing these works at LW Bogdanka S.A. were presented, focusing on labor-consumption and long execution time. 7 he technology to which the article refers was described in detail, the benefits and effects obtained thanks to its use were also demonstrated. The new technology has improved stability of the longwall intersections and coal ribs, reduced cycle time of transferring longwall conveyor drives, savings in void filling materials, reduced time of many maintenance works, which has contributed to improved output efficiency. The greatest benefit of the new solution was the improvement in occupational health and safety conditions and comfort during longwall roof protection works. Despite the fact that this technology needs to be improved in its current state of use, it is already clear that it could be a solution that would automate the longwall roof protection process and bring many more benefits.
