Turyn to miasto o silnych korzeniach antycznych i średniowiecznych – miasto kościołów i pałaców. Miasto kultury, biznesu i sportu – monumentalne, eleganckie i chłodne, a jednocześnie fascynująco skromne. Stolica Piemontu, położona nad rzeką Po, miasto wielkich architektów: Juvarry, Guariniego i Alfieriego, stanowi do dziś jedną z najlepszych lekcji post-barokowej urbanistyki. Miasto o wielu obliczach, w którym przeszłość miesza się z inteligentną przyszłością.

Turin is a city with very strong ancient and medieval roots - a city of churches and palaces. A city of culture, business and sports - one that is monumental, elegant and cool, while at the same time being fascinatingly modest. The capital of Piedmont, located on the Po River, a city of great architects: Juvarra, Guarini and Alfieri, today constitutes one of the best lessons on post-Baroque urban planning. A city of many faces, in which the past mixes itself with a smart future.

Po epoce wielkich katedr dopiero epoka baroku dała życie świątyniom wzbudzającym w widzu wielkie emocje i zachwyt, wprowadzając go w stan wzruszenia estetycznego. Później już chyba żadna epoka nie wydała na świat dzieł tak zachwycających – dzieł, których walory wizualne i wartość krajobrazowa zasadzały się na perfekcyjnym usytuowaniu przestrzennym. Barokowa przestrzeń miejska wyznaczona została zarówno przez centrum-środek, jak i zastosowanie formy otwartej, wciągającej krajobraz naturalny w całość kompozycji w sposób do tej pory niespotykany.

After an era of great cathedrals, only Baroque gave birth to the temples that arouse great excitement and delight. Later, probably no era produced works whose great qualities of the visual and landscape value were based on the spatial location with such perfection. Baroque urban space has been determined by both: the center-to-center and the use of open form, addictive natural landscape in the whole composition in a so far unprecedented.

Main design idea for the studied area is to create an axis, that would connect the historical center of Zamość with a rotonda located just near by, on its south border. New axis is going to be a natural continuation for an existing one, which begins on the south, entrance elevation of the Academy of Zamość, and currently ending on the ruins of middle bastion of the ancient south wall. In case of the slight angle difference between the existing direction, and a new designed trail, these were provided with logical turning point on the spot where the existing axis meets, and crosses the one running straight through the Leopolis Gate, and that is at the local Cathedral. The range of the design includes creation of the structure, which aims to ressurect the bastion, however not to be the exact copy of it. Instead, it ought to be visual sign of it, on the location, where nowadays exists an embankment with random trees, and bushes growing on. Regulation, and composition of the trail leading to the rotonda is also included in the project, as well as the museum at the end of it. The museum is to be as transparent as possible, with the priority of not to disturb the perception of the contemplation and reverie place, which rotonda is to be, actually.
