The article presents the historical background and development of unmanned land platforms in selected countries, including Russia, Germany, the US and Poland. The author points out the technical problems of combat use of unmanned land platforms, among others, related to the difficulty of operating in the field, control of armaments, and their lower effectiveness compared to unmanned aerial vehicles. In his opinion, the most desirable directions for the development of unmanned land platforms in the areas of operations support and logistics, and the need to turn to higher-weight platforms. In conclusion, the author postulates the thesis that full autonomous combat use of unmanned land platforms is likely to be economically unjustified as well as unprofitable in terms of the combat value of these vehicles in the next few to several years. The author points out the need to develop this technology and use a technological benchmark mainly of US solutions.

W publikacji przedstawiono wybrane nowe technologie wykorzystywane na potrzeby Państwowej Straży Pożarnej, jak również inne, będące dopiero w fazie projektów i jeszcze nie wdrożone w Krajowym Systemie Ratowniczo-Gaśniczym. Skupiono się na zastosowaniu bezzałogowych platform zarówno lądowych, jak i powietrznych, a także opisano koncepcję kombinezonów bojowych przeznaczonych dla strażaków.

The publication presents selected new technologies used for the needs of the State Fire Service, as well as others that are only in the phase of projects and are not yet implemented in the National Fire and Rescue System. The use of unmanned land platforms as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, and the concept of combat suits for firefighters were described.

W referacie przedstawiono problematykę związaną z zagrożeniami występującymi w czasie gaszenia pożarów i usuwania skutków rozprzestrzeniania się substancji niebezpiecznych. Zaproponowano rozwiązanie systemu zaopatrywania w środek gaśniczy lub dekontaminator zdalnie sterowanej platformy lądowej. Przedstawiono rozwiązanie konstrukcyjne układu zdalnego odłączania węża zasilającego od bezzałogowej platformy ratowniczej.

The main purpose of this paper was to present problems connected with threats appearing during fire fighting and removing effects of spread of hazardous substances. The authors suggest a solution of system supplying an unmanned remote-controlled ground vehicle with extinguishing and decontaminating agents. What is more, this paper shows a solution of system for disconnecting supply hose from unmanned rescue platform working in remote control mode.

W referacie dokonano przeglądu istniejących rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych pojazdów specjalnych stosowanych w akcjach ratowniczych jednostek straży pożarnej. Zaprezentowano pojazdy dedykowane służbom ratowniczym i grupę bezzałogowych platform lądowych wykorzystywanych w akcjach ratowniczych. Przedstawiono możliwość wykorzystania magistrali CAN w systemach sterowania współczesnymi maszynami inżynieryjnymi. Zaproponowano koncepcję hydrostatycznego układu napędowego bezzałogowej platformy lądowej wysokiej mobilności.

In this paper analysis of existing special vehicles applied in rescue actions conducting by fire brigades was presented. Vehicles dedicated especially for emergency services and group of unmanned ground platforms used in rescue missions was presentedl. This paper shows possibilities of using CAN bus in control systems of today’s engineering machines. The concept of hydrostatic driving system for unmanned ground high mobility platform was proposed.
