W pracy scharakteryzowano układy wybuchowe stosowane do umacniania wybuchowego stali 38HMJ, w celu zwiększenia grubości warstwy azotowanej metodą gazową. Przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów rozkładów mikrotwardości na przekrojach próbek po różnych wariantach umacniania wybuchowego. Pokazano zdjęcia mikrostruktury badanej stali azotowanej metodą 'nitreg' bez obciążania wybuchowego i po obciążeniu wybuchowym. Określono wpływ wybuchowego umacniania na rodzaj i grubość warstwy azotowanej metodą 'nitreg'.

The paper describes the explosive systems used for the explosion-hardening of 38HMJ steel aimed to increase the thickness of the nitrided layers produced by the gas method. The results of the measurements of the microhardness distributions over the sample cross-sections after explosion-hardening effected in various variants are discussed. Photographs of the microstructure of the steel examined after it has been subjected to nitriding by the 'nitreg' method with and without explosive loading are shown. The effect of explosive hardening on the kind and thickness of the layer nitrided using the 'nitreg' method was determined.
