The motion in vertical plane of two parachute-cable system is considered:"air snake" and "wind plane". Both the systems consists of a parachutes (solid body) and long flexible cable. Analysis of dynamics in linear and nonlinear statement is described. At the linear analysis the systems of nonlinear differential equations in partial derivatives of the cable has been superseded by the system of linear ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients and complex parameter. The asimpto-tic solution for these linearized equations are found by the Birkhoff-Schlesinger-Tamarkin method.At the nonlinear analysis of the approximate solutions are found by the Galerkin and describing functions methods.
