Sample structural solution for a city tricycle with an additional solar drive

The everyday use of the bicycle is becoming increasingly common. People noticed the need to take care of both their health and the environment. The geographical location of Poland encourages cycling, which is the reason new kilometres of cycling routes are being built every year. This is associated with the rising interest in buying a bicycle. A conceptual tricycle with an additional electric drive powered by solar panels is presented in this article. The photovoltaic panel is installed on the basket roof. The electric motor may be used during an uphill ride and when the driver has run out of energy for pedalling. In the crank mechanism, there is a sensor which starts the motor when a small foot pressing force on the pedal is detected. The tricycle has an all-purpose structure, owing to which the seat mounted in the basket can be easily replaced with a double seat, a shopping bin or a child's safety seat. The tricycle may be used by both private persons and companies involved in tourist transport. The cost of the structural details of the tricycle suggested in this article does vary considerably from standard electric bikes, however, that solution has several important advantages, which may be decisive in the purchase of this solution.

Celem artykułu była wstępna analiza potencjału turystycznego terenów wiejskich podregionu radomskiego, szczególnie w aspekcie turystyki aktywnej. Uwarunkowania przyrodniczo-kulturowe podregionu radomskiego, mimo, że nie mogą konkurować z najatrakcyjniejszymi regionami Polski takimi jak np. Podhale, Mazury, Pomorze sprzyjają rozwojowi turystyki. Liczne szlaki rowerowe, piesze, cieki wodne umożliwiające atrakcyjne spływy kajakowe, liczne, ciekawe tereny chronione oraz dziedzictwo kulturowe podregionu radomskiego czynią go interesującym miejscem wypoczynku, szczególnie jeśli odległość z miejsca zamieszkania jest niewielka. Oferta podregionu radomskiego powinna być szczególnie interesująca dla mieszkańców aglomeracji miejskich województwa mazowieckiego i okolicznych województw. Wykorzystanie w pełni potencjału turystycznego regionu możliwe jest tylko w przypadku zintensyfikowanej promocji i stworzeniu pakietowanego, atrakcyjnego produktu turystycznego.

The aim of the paper was to analyze the tourism potential of rural areas of Radom subregion, especially in terms of active tourism. Subregion of Radom is not able to compete with the most attractive regions of Poland such as Podhale, Masuria or Pomerania. Although its natural and cultural conditions are conducive to the development of tourism. Numerous bike trails, hiking trials, water courses for attractive kayaking, numerous, interesting protected areas and cultural heritage make Radom subregion interesting holiday destination. especially if the distance from the place of living is not far. Tourist offer of Radom subregion should be of the particular interest to the residents of urban agglomerations of Mazovian province and neighboring provinces. Taking full advantage of the tourism potential of the region is possible only in case of intensified promotion and creation of packetized and attractive tourist products .

In the article, the author describes the problems concerning active tourism on the example of Białowieza Primeval Forest micro-region. The first part of the article explains problems connected with the development of the tourist region for the purposes of active tourism. The legal acts regulating which institutions are responsible for outlining, marking and keeping tourist trails safe are discussed in detail. The empirical part presents the development of Białowieża Primeval Forest for the purposes of active tourism on the basis of the research conducted in 2006. The article includes conclusions.

Cenny krajobraz przyrodniczy o randze rezerwatu dotknięty ręką ludzką, aby maksymalnie wydobyć jego walory, jest obecnie wyjątkową atrakcją i częstym celem wypraw turystycznych. Sposób udostępnienia rezerwatów przyrody, odsłaniający przed turystami tajemnice natury, nie czyniący jej jednocześnie krzywdy, jest wielkim wyzwaniem dla projektantów. Zespół autorski podjął się koncepcji odbudowy wieży widokowej na szczycie Śnieżnika Kłodzkiego, zburzonej w 1973 r. przez władze komunistyczne. Działka po historycznym obiekcie zlokalizowana jest w najwyższym niemal punkcie góry, od południa przylega do granicy państwa, zaś z pozostałych stron otoczona jest terenami chronionymi. Projektowany korpus wieży powtarza gabaryty swojego pierwowzoru, z kolei część obsługi gastronomiczno-technicznej mieści się w znacznie mniejszym pawilonie niż poprzednie schronisko. Największą atrakcją obiektu był i będzie panoramiczny taras widokowy na poziomie +30,00 m, obliczony starannie w XIX w., z którego podobno nocą można było zobaczyć światła Wrocławia i Pragi. Zdaniem autorów, wziąwszy pod uwagę istniejące uwarunkowania krajobrazowe, czyniące z kopuły Śnieżnika atrakcyjny cel wycieczek, odbudowa wieży będzie w sumie korzystnym rozwiązaniem, gdyż pozwoli na skumulowanie i kontrolowanie ruchu turystycznego na ściśle ograniczonym obszarze.

Valuable natural landscapes, especially places in national parks, touched by human investment to rise whole of unavailable attractivities, are very often purpose of tourist expeditions. There is great chellenge for designers, making protected areas more available, showing secrets of the nature to tourists without doing any injuries to nature at the same time. In 1973 communist' authorities ordered to blow up the watchtower at the top of Śnieżnik mountain, now project team takes on the concept of its reconstruction. The plot after the historic object is located in highest point of the top, and borders on the state frontier from the south; other sides are surrounded with reserve areas. The designed trunk of the tower is repeating sizes of historic prototype, however the gastronomical and technical part of building is much smaller then earlier. The most attractive feature of the object is the panoramic viewing terrace on the level of +30,00 m, calculated precisely in 19' century, and sometimes it is possible to see lights of Wrocław and Prague at night from terrace. In authors' opinion, despite existing of unique landscape, a reconstruction of the tower will be the optimum solution at all, because it allows accumulating and controlling the tourist traffic strictly in the limited area, and the landscape - panoramic composition is exactly as it was before.

Jednym ze sposobów pomocy osobom niepełnosprawnym jest włączenia ich w życie społeczne. Jednym z elementów tego życia jest wypoczynek i turystyka. Najbardziej terapeutyczną z punktu widzenia szeroko pojętej rehabilitacji jest turystyka aktywna, do uprawiania której są potrzebne określone kwalifikacje, umiejętności oraz sprzęt. Niniejsze opracowanie jest próbą poszerzenia wiedzy w tym zakresie, wypełnienia istniejącej luki, jak również próbą zastosowania rozwiązań modelowych w omawianym zagadnieniu. Praca ta zawiera dwa modele regresyjne czynników sprzyjających uprawianiu turystyki aktywnej przez osoby niepełnosprawne wzrokowo i ruchowo. Podstawę do opracowania tych modeli stanowiły dane z wywiadu przeprowadzonego wśród osób niepełnosprawnych z dysfunkcjami, a ukierunkowanych na cel badań. Badania przeprowadzono w 2003 i 2004 r. wśród osób niepełnosprawnych z terenu całej Polski. Do wyodrębnienia czynników istotnie wpływających na uprawianie turystyki aktywnej w badanych rodzajach niepełnosprawności zastosowano model regresji logistycznej.

One of the ways to help disabled people is to incorporate them into social life. One such way is recreation and tourism. Active tourism has the best therapeutic value as a rehabilitation process, but requires specific qualifications, skills and equipment. The aim of this paper is to try to broaden the knowledge in this respect, fill the existing information gap, and find suitable model solutions. Two regression models of factors favorable to active tourism of disabled persons with visual and motoric disabilities are presented. These models were based on interviews with the persons with disabilities pertaining to the scope of the research. Experiments were conducted in the years 2003 and 2004 among disabled from all over Poland. To distinguish factors having a significant influence on active tourism in the analyzed types of disability, the logistics regression model has been applied.
