The paper deals with the experimental study of nucleate pool boiling heat transfer on tunnel surfaces. The experiments were carried out at atmospheric pressure for the R-123. The influence of foil pores diameter on boiling heat flux was defined.
The paper focuses on theoretical and experimental studies of boiling heat transfer in tunnel structures (TS) covered with a perforated foil. On the basis of studies performed and the existing analytical boiling models, one proposed the own model. Characteristic mechanisms of vapour bubbles formation, shifting and detaching in tunnels were considered, as well as the non-isothermality of the extended surface.
