Artykuł jest owocem współpracy Akademii Gómiczo-Hutniczej i Politechniki Śląskiej z Uniwersytetem w Osace, polegającej m.in. na organizowaniu praktyk dla studentów. Kilka lat temu na praktyce naukowo-przemysłowej przebywał w Japonii Autor niniejszego artykułu; uczestniczył zarówno w pracach uczelnianego laboratorium prof. Chikaosa Tanimoto, jak i laboratorium Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry w Abiko pod Tokio. Zwiedził teren budowy kilku tuneli na trasie Kita-Kobe.

The article is the outcome of cooperation of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow and Silesian Technical University in Gliwice with the University in Osaka consisting in, among others, organisation of scholarships for the students. Some years ago the authors of this article was on the scientific-industrial scholarship in Japan. He attended both in the works of the University's laboratory run by prof. Chikaosa Tanimoto and in the laboratory of the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry in Abiko, close to Tokyo. He visited the construction sites of several tunnels along the route Kita- Kobe.
