W roku 2018 duńska wyspa Lolland i niemiecka – Fehmarn zyska stałe połączenie mostowe lub tunelowe, które zbliży Skandynawię z Europą kontynentalną. W artykule opisano koncepcję budowy mostu i tunelu.

In 2018 the Danish island Lolland and the German island Fehmarn will link Scandinavia to Europe by means of either a bridge or a tunnel. Concept work are in progress, including geological research and expertise based on which will be two alternate projects. One of them will be chosen in 2012 and the spectacular construction enterprise will start. If the future choice is the bridge, the construction will be 19 km long, with the travel time of a dozen or so minutes. The tunnel, however, will have the length of 20 km as it will run along a slightly different path. Both constructions are expected to serve people for about hundred years.

Opis projektu budowy w Norwegii najgłębszego i najdłuższego tunelu podmorskiego na świecie. Tunel w Eskund ma ok 100 km podwodnych dróg. Na projekt składa się most, trzy mniejsze tunele oraz budowa i remont istniejących dróg lądowych.
