W pracy omówiono wyniki badań odporności korozyjnej i tribokorozyjnej stali austenitycznej poddanej węgloazotowaniu niskotemperaturowemu, podczas którego dochodzi do wytworzenia warstw dyfuzyjnych o dwustrefowej budowie skłądających się z węglowej i azotowej fazy S. Warstwy zostały wytworzone w atmosferach o dwóch różnych potencjałach azotowych z dodatkiem 2% acetylenu w temperaturze 400÷500°C. Czas procesu był stały i wynosił 5 h. Badania tribokorozyjne przeprowadzono w ruchu posuwisto-zwrotnym w 3% wodnym roztworze NaCl. Ponadto przeprowadzono badania potencjodynamiczne w roztworze NaCl. Otrzymane wyniki porównano z nieobrobioną stalą austenityczną. Zaobserwowano znaczące zwiększenie odporności tribokorozyjnej w przypadku stali obrobionej cieplno-chemicznie, zwłaszcza w temperaturze 450 i 500°C. Wszystkie badane warstwy cechowała odporność korozyjna porównywalna lub lepsza od stali austenitycznej.

The paper presents results of the studies on the corrosion and tribocorrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel subjected to low temperature carbonitriding. During such a process the diffusion layers is formed which consists of two sublayers composed of carbon and nitrogen S-phase. The layers were produced in two atmospheres with different nitrogen potential and with addition of 2% of acetylene at temperature 400÷500°C. Process time was constant and equal to 5 h. Tribocorrosion tests consisted of a reciprocating motion in a water solution of 3% NaCl. In addition, potentiodynamic studies were carried out in such a solution. The results were compared to those obtained for untreated austenitic stainless steel. A significant increase in tribocorrosion resistance was observed, in particular for steel treated at 450 and 500°C. Corrosion resistance of the layers was comparable to or better than that of austenitic stainless steel.
