Numerical investigation of a railway vehicle curving behaviour

This paper describes numerical investigations of the railway passenger vehicle dynamics. Calculations were made for vehicle motion on the transitional and circular curves. Results, connected with dynamic and kinematics of the model are presented for two chosen routes. Routes consist of straight tracks, transitional curves and circular arcs. Special attention is paid to the demonstration of the wheel/rail geometry influence on vehicle dynamics.

W pracy opisano numeryczne badania dynamiki wagonu pasażerskiego. Obliczenia wykonano dla ruchu pojazdu po krzywej przejściowej i po łuku regularnym. Wyniki obliczeń dotyczące dynamiki i kinematyki układu pokazano dla dwóch wybranych tras ruchu pojazdu.
