The current situation in the commodities market has forced suppliers to change their ways of satisfying customer needs. The supply chain aims to deliver raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products to the right place at the right time, incurring the lowest costs. Therefore, high-quality transport services have become indispensable in competing with other entities, enterprises are guided by the timeliness of deliveries in the Just-in-Time and Door-to-Door systems, and the costs incurred. Hence, to ensure that the pursued actions are implemented effectively, it is imperative to apply a process strategy comprising a characteristic component of the transport process management that would have a significant impact on the improvement of the services provided. In this paper, the authors conducted research on a real object of cargo transport on fixed routes and established a concept of streamlining the transport processes carried out at a company. The improvement concept proposed by the authors permits the minimization of the time of loading operations on routes related to a specific load. The result is a reduced total time of cargo transport, which offers the possibility of taking more orders at the studied company.

W artykule przedstawiono projekt systemu informatycznego wspomagającego zarządzanie flotą autobusów. Utrzymanie wysokiej pozycji na rynku jest dla firm transportowych priorytetem. Nie jest jednak możliwe bez świadczenia wysokiej jakości usług, sprawnej komunikacji, redukcji kosztów i zapewnienia wysokiego poziomu bezpieczeństwa. Wszystkie te obszary muszą być wspomagane przez system informatyczny. W artykule przedstawiono wymagania jakie musi spełnić taki system oraz zaproponowano jego koncepcję. Szczególny nacisk położono na aspekt bezpieczeństwa i niezawodności systemu.

Paper discusses a project of a system to support bus fleet management. Such a system is necessary to keep high position on market. A lack of complex solution available made us to design a new safe system from scratch. The paper analyses the transport firms needs and defines system functionality necessary to support efficiently a fleet of buses. The design is focused on IT system security and reliability.

Artykuł dotyczy optymalizacji kosztów utrzymania floty transportowej na przykładzie Miejskiego Zakładu Komunikacji. W pierwszej części opisano miejski zakład komunikacji. W drugiej zaś, przy wykorzystaniu danych z artykułu analiza kosztów utrzymania floty transportowej na przykładzie miejskiego zakładu komunikacji, dokonano optymalizacji kosztów utrzymania floty transportowej. Zaproponowano obniżenie kosztów zakupu paliwa poprzez m.in. zorganizowanie przyzakładowej stacji paliw a także wymianę autobusów generujących największe koszty. Opisano także sposoby pozyskiwania funduszy na zakup nowych autobusów.

The article concerns the costs related to maintaining the transport fleet of Piła’s Public Transportation Company. The first part describes the Company itself. The second part was based on the data provided in the article “Transportation fleet maintenance cost analysis on the example of Piła’s Public Transportation Company” and prepared a fleet cost optimization plan. It proposed the reduction of fuel purchase by organizing an on-site petrol station as well as replacement of buses generating the largest costs. The study also described the proposal of obtaining founds for purchase of new buses.

Do podstawowych zadań operatora publicznego transportu zbiorowego należy niezawodne i bezpieczne wykonywanie przewozów w ramach zawartej umowy przewozowej z organizatorem transportu. Podmiot pełniący rolę operatora zobowiązany jest do punktualnego przestrzegania rozkładów jazdy, jest to możliwe pod warunkiem że operator dysponuje taborem charakteryzującym się wysokim poziomem gotowości taboru. W pracy podjęto próbę oceny gotowości operatora publicznego transportu zbiorowego realizującego zadania na terenie miasta i obszarze przyległym o łącznej liczbie mieszkańców nie przekraczającej stu tysięcy.

The basic tasks of the public transport operator include reliable and safe transport services under the concluded transport contract with the transport organizer. The entity acting as the operator is obliged to punctually adhere to timetables, it is possible provided that the operator has a rolling stock characterized by a high level of readiness for rolling stock. The paper attempts to assess the readiness of the public transport operator performing tasks in the city and the adjacent area with a total number of residents not exceeding one hundred thousand.

Artykuł dotyczy analizy kosztów związanych z utrzymaniem floty transportowej w przedsiębiorstwie komunikacji miejskiej. W artykule scharakteryzowano komunikację miejską, koszty jakie występują w kontekście floty transportowej. W kolejnej części artykułu przedstawiono analizę kosztów związanych z zużyciem paliwa, użytkowaniem, obsługą. Na podstawie analizy przedstawiono zróżnicowanie tych kosztów między poszczególnymi autobusami oraz sformułowano odpowiednie wnioski.

The article concerns the costs related to maintaining the transport fleet in a public transport system. It presents the theoretical basis for urban transport, the costs that appear in the context of the transport fleet, the characteristics of the enterprise in question. The next part of the article analyzes the costs related to fuel consumption, operation, service and insurance of vehicles. The analysis shows the differentiation of these costs between individual buses and draws conclusions.

W artykule opisano jak duże znaczenie ma wdrożenie do przedsiębiorstwa z branży transportowej innowacyjnego projektu. Obecnie wszystkie organizacje, które chcą uzyskać przewagę konkurencyjną muszą realizować nowatorskie przedsięwzięcia, które pozwolą im utrzymać istotny udział w rynku. Nieustanny rozwój technologii, rosnące oczekiwania konsumentów oraz postępująca globalizacja powodują, że proces zarządzania flotą staje się wyzwaniem dla wielu organizacji. Okazuje się bowiem, że samo pozyskanie intratnych zleceń nie zapewni przedsiębiorstwom gwarancji zachowania dużego udziału w rynku na długie lata. Niezwykle ważne jest właściwe dbanie o posiadane zasoby i odpowiednie nimi zarządzanie. W badanym przedsiębiorstwie za innowacyjny projekt uznano wdrożenie rozwiązania telematycznego. Zarząd organizacji zdecydował się na opracowanie i zaimplementowanie systemu zarządzania flotą pojazdów. Uzyskane w trakcie badania wyniki jednoznacznie wskazały, że w tej firmie zaimplementowanie innowacyjnego rozwiązania przyniosło zdecydowane korzyści. W trakcie wdrażania projektu pojawiły się również pewne bariery, które jednak nie okazały się być istotne i znacząco nie wpłynęły na powodzenie przedsięwzięcia.

The article describes the importance of the implementation of an innovative project for the transport company. Today, all organizations that want to gain a competitive advantage need to realize innovative projects that will allow them to maintain a significant market share. Continuous development of technology, increasing expectations of consumers and advanced globalization cause the process of fleet management is a challenge for many organizations. It turns out that the acquisition of orders does not provide guarantees to companies maintain a large market share for years to come. Extremely important it is to take care of their resources and appropriate management of them. In the analyzed company innovative project was the implementation of telematics solutions. The organization's management has decided to develop and implement a system of fleet management. The results clearly showed that the company implement innovative solutions brought significant benefits. During the project implementation there were also some barriers, but have not proved to be relevant and does not significantly affect the success of the project.
