The aim of the article is taking a closer look at the problems concerning technical condition assessment with regard to correctness of project goals of structures metal-glass facade. Made is reference to the manner of their execution and proper functioning. The issue of accordance to good engineering practice of adapting changes in the system and adjusting the fitted solutions as reccomended by the producers. Above mentioned issues were dealt with given an example of high-rise building with applied curtain wall and a residential building where a filling structure is mounted.

W pracy przeprowadzono analizę wytrzymałościową belki poprzecznej mostu składanego typu DMS-65 pod kątem oceny wpływu wielkości otworów konstrukcyjnych na jej wytężenie. W analizach zastosowano metodę elementów skończonych (MES), modelując poprzecznicę jako konstrukcję powłokową z zastosowaniem elementów powierzchniowych. Z przeprowadzonej analizy wynika, że istniejące otwory konstrukcyjne o średnicy 200 mm nie są optymalnym wariantem rozwiązania tej konstrukcji.

The author of the paper conducted a strength analysis of a cross-beam in a DMS-65 type assembled bridge with regard to the assessment of the impact of the size of assembly holes on its effort. In the analyses the finite element method (FEM) was employed, modelling the transom as a monocoque construction with the use of surface elements. It transpires from the conducted analysis that the existing assembly holes of 200 mm in diameter are not an optimum solution of that construction.
