W pracy oceniono zwrotność autobusów miejskich jedno- i dwuczłonowych, bez i z uwzględnieniem stanów przejściowych ruchu. W stosunku do cytowanych prac, rozszerzono zakres obliczeń o stany przejściowe ruchu pojazdów, związane z fazą narastania i spadku kąta obrotu kierownicy do wartości wybranych przez kierowcę. Dla autobusów przegubowych uwzględniono skutki zjawiska wleczenia drugiego członu pojazdu w fazie do osiągnięcia stanu ruchu całego zestawu po torach o stałych promieniach krzywizn. Na podstawie wykonanych obliczeń porównano najmniejsze szerokości pasa skrętu pojazdu o kąt 90°oraz powierzchnie obszarów zajmowanych przez autobus w trakcie tego manewru. Wskazano na istotny wpływ stanów przejściowych ruchu na wykorzystywane miary zwrotności pojazdu.

The study rated maneuverability of one- and two-part buses. Authors took into account the transient states of vehicle motion. In relation to the cited works they extended the scope of the calculation of transient vehicle motion associated with the phase of rise and fall in steering angle to the value selected by the driver. For two-part buses (articulated) buses they took into account the dragging effects of the trailer during the vehicle motion phase before it achieves a state of motion of the whole set on tracks with fixed radii of curvature. On the basis of the calculations it was possible to calculate the smallest width of the lane when turning vehicle at an angle of 90 deg as well as the surface areas occupied by the bus during this maneuver. Authors indicated a significant effect of transient states of vehicle motion during turning maneuver.
