W dużych transformatorach odprowadzanie powstającego podczas pracy ciepła stanowi jeden z ważniejszych problemów konstrukcyjnych. Pracą poszczególnych chłodnic, których liczba jest uzależniona od wielkości transformatora (mocy cieplnej, którą należy odebrać) steruje wyspecjalizowany sterownik. W praktyce spotyka się różnorodne rozwiązania od najprostszych układów z termometrem kontaktowym po rozwiązania zaawansowane z sterownikami PLC w konfiguracji redundantnej. W przypadku prostych konstrukcji o ewentualnych uszkodzeniach dowiadujemy się, gdy temperatura oleju w górnej warstwie osiąga poziom awaryjny. Wtedy mamy znacznie ograniczony czas na jakąkolwiek reakcję.

One of the most important construction-problem in the large transformers is to release the heat, that arises during the function. The work of the individual transformers, which number depends of the size of the transformer (thermal power, that must be picked up) is controlling by a specialized controller. In the practice we can find diverse solutions, form the simple system with the contact- thermometer to the advanced with PLCcontroller in the redundant configuration. About eventual damages we enquire when the oil temperature in the upper layer, in case of the simple constructions, achieves the emergency level. Then the time for any reaction that we have is limited.
