A transfer point is an element of a belt conveyor prone to increased energy losses and to the risk of failure. It is also a location in which the receiving belt is particularly susceptible to damage. Except failure-free operation, a transfer point should offer minimal belt resistances to motion by ensuring that the transported material is placed centrally on the receiving belt, both spillage of the material and blockages are prevented, the process of particle defragmentation is limited, and also that noise and dust emissions to the environment are reduced. Ensuring that the above requirements are met requires inter alia the use of advanced simulation tests. The article analyzes the flow of ore particles stream through a longitudinal transfer point used in an underground copper ore mine. Discrete Element Method was used to identify the phenomena which occur while transferring ore onto the receiving conveyor. The research allowed key variables affecting the transfer point performance to be identified. It also resulted in a proposal of actions which can improve the performance of the transfer point and which are focused on saving energy and on minimizing the damage and wear of the receiving belt.

Przesyp jest miejscem przenośnika taśmowego, w którym pojawia się ryzyko wystąpienia awarii, występują straty energii oraz może dochodzić do uszkodzenia taśmy odbierającej urobek. Poza bezawaryjnym funkcjonowaniem przesyp powinien dla zminimalizowania oporów ruchu taśmy zapewnić także centralne podawanie urobku, zapobiegać rozsypywaniu się transportowanego materiału, nie dopuszczać do powstawania zatorów, ograniczać proces defragmentacji urobku, a także minimalizować emisję hałasu oraz pyłów do otoczenia. Zapewnienie stawianych wymagań wiąże się z koniecznością stosowania m.in. zaawansowanych badań symulacyjnych. W artykule przeprowadzono analizę przepływu strugi urobku przez wybrany przesyp wzdłużny, stosowany w podziemnej kopalni rud miedzi. Przy użyciu metody elementów dyskretnych DEM dokonano oceny zjawisk zachodzących podczas przesypywania rudy na przenośnik odbierający, wskazano kluczowe zmienne opisujące jego pracę, a także zaproponowano działania udoskonalające pracę przesypu, zorientowane na zwiększenia jego energooszczędności oraz zmniejszenia negatywnego oddziaływania transportowanego nosiwa na taśmę przenośnika odbierającego.

W artykule przedstawiono punkt przesiadkowy zlokalizowany w ścisłym centrum miasta jako element systemu transportowego umożliwiający płynne przesiadanie się pasażerów komunikacji zbiorowej pomiędzy różnymi środkami transport zbiorowego. Zwrócono uwagę, że transport zbiorowy wraz z pasażerami, wprowadzony w obręb ścisłego centrum miasta, tworzy podstawy do budowy wokół niego pasażu handlowo-kulturalno-rozrywkowego, umożliwiając jednocześnie rozwój przestrzeni miejskiej, a zarazem podnosząc atrakcyjność sąsiadujących ulic. Przedstawiono historię budowy linii tramwajowej w centrum Będzina i wskazano późniejsze błędne decyzje, w wyniku których wyeliminowano komunikację zbiorową z głównych ulic, przy których skumulowane było życie miasta, co następnie skutkowało powolnym zanikiem typowego miejskiego pasażu handlowego. Z uwagi na obecnie coraz powszechniej wprowadzane rozwiązania polegające na budowie punktów przesiadkowych i zastępowaniu indywidualnego transportu samochodowego transportem zbiorowym przy modernizacji miejskiej przestrzeni podjęto próbę oceny zaistniałej sytuacji w Będzinie. Jednocześnie zaproponowano odbudowę linii tramwajowej na głównej ulicy miasta zgodnie z jej przedwojennym przebiegiem, co może być sposobem na odzyskanie pasażerów komunikacji miejskiej, dzięki którym ulice centrum Będzina będą mogły odzyskać swój przedwojenny charakter jako pasaż handlowo-kulturalno-rozrywkowy.

This paper presents transfer point located in the city center as a part of transport system that allows smooth change of public transport passengers between different modes of collective public transport. It was noted that public transport and the passengers entered the sphere of the city center forms a base to build around the shopping arcade and entertainment cultural development of the area which provide opportunity to develop urban space and contributing at the same time with increasing of the attractiveness of the surrounding streets. Author of the article presents the history of the construction of a tramway in the centre of Będzin and describes further false decisions resulted with elimination of public transport from the main streets of the city, where the life of the city has been concentrated , which then worked with the slow disappearance of the typical city shopping mall. Due to the currently more widely implemented solution of construction of the interchange and replacement of individual car transport with public transport modernization urban space an attempt to assess the situation in Będzin has been undertaken. At the same time a reconstruction of the tram line on the main street of the city has been proposed, restoring its pre-war course which may contribute with a process of recapture of the passenger of the public transport, who may regain pre-war character of streets of the centre in Bedzin as a shopping-cultureentertaining precinct.
