The irreversible process of demographic change, especially in Germany, leads to numerous challenges. According to this, research has to face the task to integrate the constantly ageing population into the urban and public space in such a way that there are as few barriers as possible. With the support of digitalization, so-called smart urban objects are being designed in order to do make integration, so that people and the available technology can be used most efficiently. A special ontology has been developed to meet this demand.

Referat zawiera analizę przepisów prawa regulujących planowanie przestrzenne w aspekcie oceny ich skuteczności w kwestii zabezpieczenia i ochrony złóż kopalin dla potrzeb działalności górniczej. Krytycznej dyskusji poddane też zostały przepisy ustawy o planowaniu i zagospodarowaniu przestrzennym odnoszące się do postępowania o udzielanie koncesji na wydobywanie kopalin, do fazy eksploatacji złoża i fazy likwidacji kopalni. W podsumowaniu sformułowano propozycje zmian w przepisach szczególnie dotyczące:- ochrony złóż kopalin oraz obszarów perspektywicznych, - doprecyzowanie wymogu ustalania kierunku przeznaczenia terenu na podstawie oceny możliwych do przyjęcia wariantów, - rezygnację z obowiązku sporządzania miejscowego planu zagospodarowania terenu górniczego. Wykazano, że proponowane zmiany są niezbędne do usunięcia barier w rozwoju górnictwa skalnego.

The work contains analysis of the regulations of the law on spatial planning in terms of their efficiency in protection of mineral commodities for mining activity. Analyzed were also regulations of the considered law relating to obtaining of the license for mineral extraction, mining plant operations and closure of the mining plant. Proposed were some changes in the legal regulations related to: - protection of mineral deposits protection, - more precise establishing of land use based on possible variants, - resignation of obligatory local land use plans for mining areas. It was shown that the proposed changes are necessary for development of rocky raw materials mining.

Można wyodrębnić dwa problemy związane z kwestią mieszkaniową: brak mieszkań, szczególnie w sektorze mieszkań dostępnych, oraz niską jakość przestrzenną powstających realizacji mieszkaniowych. W artykule zaprezentowany został angielski system Affordable Housing, który jest według autorki dobrą propozycją rozwiązania obu aspektów problemu mieszkaniowego. Na tle rozwiązań angielskich zaprezentowany został zarys polityki mieszkaniowej w Polsce – na poziomie państwa oraz na szczeblu lokalnym.

Housing issue can be divided into two separate problems: housing shortage, especially in affordable housing compartment, and low spatial quality of new housing estates. In this paper some rules of delivering Affordable Housing in England have been presented. Author of this paper finds this english system to be a good solution to both qualitative nad quantitative aspects of housing issue. In comparison with english system outline of polish housing policy – at the governmental and local level - has been shown.

The paper presents an application of geological-engineering aspects to new conditions of town and country planning in Poland. Historically, the role of engineering geology in planning process increase. The most difficult problems are in mining areas, where degradation of soils pertains to more than 30% of surface. Proper application of engineering geology to land management required a development of mapping, telemetry methods and monitoring of environmental conditions. Current changes in procedures ought to include engineering process both at the local and regional stage of planning. Economy analysis of alternative solutions should be included in methodology of the engineering assessment.
