Purpose: The aim of the paper is to assess the possibility of using narrative attributes applied in film and literary works for creating tourism products based on the attitudes and preferences of potential tourists with different levels of narrative. Design/methodology/approach: In the research procedure, desk research was used to define the attitudes and preferences of potential tourists, which were examined in terms of sensitivity to narrative related to the place. Then, an online survey (CAWI) was conducted among 200 respondents who were asked a sequence of questions about attitudes towards narratives related to the setting of the plot appearing in literary works. On this basis, potential tourists were divided into 3 groups: people with a low, medium and high level of sensitivity to narrative related to the place. In addition, they were asked to indicate their propensity to visit places related to film and literary works, and finally to determine the importance of various factors (pull factors) influencing the perception of the narrative. In the study, it was assumed that the tourist development of a given town can be intensified if a given place can be associated by potential tourists with a story that is described in a novel, film or series appearing in pop culture. Findings: The highest declarative inclination to visit a plot-related place is represented by people with a high level of sensitivity to narrative, which is in line with expectations. However, people with its low level more often decide to visit a described place. This may be due to their emotional insufficiency related to the narrative. Probably, when planning tourist trips, they want to become a "real" part of the plot. On the other hand, people with a high level of sensitivity are most emotionally attached to the narrative and, despite a higher declarative tendency towards visiting places related to the plot, they less often decide to actually travel. The lowest tendency to visit places related to the plot was declared by undecided people (with an average level of sensitivity to narrative) who, at the same time, constituted the largest group in the study. People responsible for film tourism should focus on this group. Places related to film and literary works in their home country are most often visited. Research limitations/implications: It is worth empirically verifying the possibility of developing film and literary tourism products based on fictional places related to fantasy films and series, not only such well-known and developed products as “Game of Thrones” or “Harry Potter”, but also other productions, because they are very popular and have a group of loyal fans. It is also worth using the criterion of sensitivity to narration as a moderator in future research. Practical implications: The group of people with an average level of sensitivity to narrative is the most attractive group for the authorities of territorial units due to their size. There are 4 narrative features that are worth considering to attract this group to the place: the attractive plot of the film, the experience/skills of the actors, the actors selected for the role and the actor's portrayal of the character, i.e. acting skills. In the promotional policy, it seems necessary to use the presence of actors and recreate the most attractive scenes from the film's plot in the design of promotional campaigns and the film tourism product itself. Originality/value: The article contains a list of attributes that can be used in a promotional campaign of a place related to a literary or film work. These attributes are perceived differently by various target groups divided according to the criterion of sensitivity to narration. The paper is addressed to the authorities of territorial units, both at national and local levels, and to people involved in the tourist development of a territorial unit.

Over the years, the use of the Tourist Loading Capacity (TLC) as a planning and management tool has been intensifying, due to the large influx and overcrowding of tourist destinations, as well as the misuse of the resources found in them by visitors, which causes the degradation of natural or cultural resources, owing to lack of control and regulation of the number of visits. This study carries out a systematic review of the use that has been given to the Tourist Loading Capacity, to which specific destinations it has been applied and which methodologies have been used, in order to gather the existing information regarding this particular topic. The RS was carried out through a documentary analysis of academic literature related to the use and implementation of the Tourist Loading Capacity in different places and the adaptation and modification of the methodologies used. In general, the Tourist Load Capacity tool has become essential to efficiently plan and manage tourist destinations and has been widely used throughout the world, being the Cifuentes (1992) methodology the most widely used and adapted to different contexts.

The aim of the article is to investigate the water quality in the Prut River, which tends to tourist destinations, and to establish the interdependence of the water pollution index with the number of tourists visited in the Yaremche Tourist Cluster. The article scientifically proves the indirect influence of tourist flow on water quality in the Prut River. Water samples from the Prut River were taken, such as pH, temperature, nitrates and nitrites, phosphates, ammonium and mineralization were analyzed. Using membrane tests Sensafe in water samples, we determined the content of the following metals: Ni, Co, Zn, Cd, Hg, Fe. Based on the results, we calculated the water pollution index, which is 0.52. It is established that the water is clean. IZV is determined at each point of water withdrawal in the dynamics during 2016–2020, the interdependence of water quality of the Prut River with the number of visitors to the tourist destination. The forecast of the index of water pollution and tourist flow for 2021-2025 is carried out using the data received in the operating system Exel. It is proved that with the growth of tourists the water quality deteriorates, although it fluctuates within the norm.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the possible effects of renewable energy sources (RES) on the territory of tourist destinations and to develop a program for monitoring such impact. The study used the following methods: statistical observation and analysis, comparison. Main objects of the effects of renewable energy sources (solar, wind and small hydro power) activity were determined. The system of assessment of the sensitivity of such objects impact was proposed. The possibile effects of existing RES on the environment and tourism development within tourist destinations were determined. The system of monitoring of the RES effect on the tourist environment was developed. A program for monitoring the effects of RES in tourist destinations was proposed.

The paper is based on the premise that customers aspire to achieve maximum satisfaction of the products or services they buy so that knowledge of customer satisfaction enables an organization organized according to provide quality services assuming that levels higher quality leads to higher levels of customer satisfaction. Its empirical research was carried out in the tourist destination Holguín, northeastern Cuba, including more than 2,000 tourists and 70 tourism service providers, and was designed to provide information on the relationship between the level of tourist satisfaction and the variables of quality assurance in the destination. By means of the compilation and analysis of the obtained data a model of structural equations was constructed to visualize the nature of the relations that they were intended to demonstrate. The obtained results indicate that there are relations between the variables that assure the quality and the satisfaction of the customer leaving identified the possibilities of improvement.

The aim of the study is to identify waste generated within the territories of tourist destinations in Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine and to classify it for the use of effective waste management methods. The dynamics of municipal waste generation in tourist destinations in Carpathian region has been analyzed. The sources of waste generation in tourist activities have been identified and classified by the criterion of their further use. The methods of waste management within the tourist destinations in Carpathian region have been proposed. The problem of tourist destinations waste has been identified as one of the significant environmental aspects of tourism industry. Recommendations for implementation of the waste management methods can form the basis of waste management programs within the tourist destinations in the Carpathians. To achieve the goal and to solve the identified tasks a range of research methods have been used in the study: praximetric method (analysis of research experience) and summarizing the information of printed sources on environmental aspects of the tourism industry and the problems of waste management within tourist destinations; comparative analysis has been used for identification of quantitative indicators and dynamics of municipal waste generation; specific search method has been used for identifying, selecting, theoretical analysis, classification of the waste generated in tourist destinations and calculation of their generated amount.
