Effect of memorable tourism experiences on revisit intention to community-based tourism destination of domestic tourists in Vietnam

The intention to return to a destination is one of the important research topics in tourism. The antecedents of revisiting intention confirmed include trip satisfaction, destination image, tourist attitude, and, most recently, memorable tourism experiences. This study tests the hypothesis of the impact of memorable tourism experience components on the intention to revisit the destination of domestic tourists in the community-based tourism in Northern Vietnam. The memorable tourism experience components are adapted from the scale of Kim et al [16], Chandaral et al [6], and Coudounaris et al [9]. The study carried out exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and finally, linear structural equation model analysis (SEM). It confirmed eight components of memorable tourism experiences that positively influence the intention to revisit domestic tourists and do not support the hypothesis that adverse feeling experiences affect revisit intention. There is no difference in intention to revisit the CBT destination between gender groups and different age groups with the research sample obtained.

Parki narodowe w Polsce są chętnie odwiedzane przez turystów. Wśród nich dużą popularnością cieszy się również Pieniński Park Narodowy, będący jednym z najmniejszych parków narodowych w kraju. Ochroną obejmuje on część Pienin odwiedzaną przez zorganizowane grupy turystów już od prawie 200 lat. Obszar Pienin odznacza się walorami przyrodniczymi, tj. specyficzną budową geologiczną, urozmaiconym ukształtowaniem terenu oraz ciekawą szatą roślinną. Cechuje się również obecnością obiektów kulturowych i punktów widokowych. Na jego terenie organizowane są wydarzenia, które mogą przyciągać turystów. Celem pracy było wskazanie najatrakcyjniejszych turystycznie miejsc i obiektów parku w opinii odwiedzających. Badania ankietowe w postaci sondażu diagnostycznego przeprowadzono na terenie parku na szlaku żółtym, z przełęczy Szopka w kierunku Krościenka. W opinii respondentów głównym atutem parku są walory krajobrazowe oraz szlaki piesze. Najbardziej atrakcyjnym turystycznie miejscem są Trzy Korony, dużą popularnością cieszy się również spływ Dunajcem. Park najczęściej odwiedzają osoby w wieku 20–40 lat, z wykształceniem wyższym, wybierające turystykę pieszą. Na obszarze parku turyści najczęściej spędzają dwa, trzy dni, często jest on także miejscem jednodniowych wycieczek. Respondenci deklarują chęć ponownego odwiedzenia parku, co wskazuje na jego atrakcyjność i pozwala wysunąć wniosek, iż ruch turystyczny na jego obszarze będzie wzrastał.

In Poland national parks are places willingly visited by tourists. Among them the Pieniny National Park, which is one of the smallest national park in the country, is also very popular. Area of the Park covers a part of the Pieniny Mountains, visited by organized groups of tourists for almost 200 years. The Pieniny are characterized by natural values such as a specific geological structure, varied ter- rain and interesting vegetation cover. It is also characterized by the presence of cultural objects, viewpoints and organized events that can encourage tourists to visit. The purpose of the work was to identify the most attractive places and objects in the Park in the opinion of visitors. Survey research in the form of a diagnostic poll was carried out in the Park on the yellow trail from the Szopka Pass to the Krościenko. Landscape values and attractive hiking trails are the main advantages of the Park in tourists opinion. Three Crowns Mountain is the most attractive place, the Dunajec River Gorge rafting enjoys great popularity too. Tourists of the aged of 20 to 40 years old, with higher education who choose walking excursions, are persons mostly visiting the park. Short trips from 2 to 3 days long as well as day trip are the most popular stays in the Park. Respondents declare that they want to visit the Park again, which indicates its attractiveness. Taking into account above, it can be concluded that tourist traffic in the Pieniny National Park will increase.
