Building a numerical model of the filtration flow in the “Żelazny Most” flotation tailings disposal lake

The paper presents results of numerical computations of the filtration flow of liquid contaminated wastes through the Żelazny Most flotation tailings disposal lake. Unlike the preceding papers [5]–[7], it takes the geological structure of the subsoil into account. A three-dimensional numerical model of the lake was created for computing purposes. Data on some of the effective model parameters were acquired from laboratory tests of the material taken from the lake site. The other data were taken from the literature for media of similar properties. The results of the computations carried out using the model can be a basis for future numerical analyses aimed at determining the consolidation of the flotation tailings disposal lake and its subsoil, and the stability of the lake.

W ostatniej kopalni złota w Złotym Stoku zaprzestano wydobycia rud w 1961 roku. Historia tego kopalnictwa sięga tysiąca lat. W 1995 roku w nieczynnej kopalni utworzono Podziemne Muzeum Górnictwa i Hutnictwa Złota. Na przykładzie nieczynnej już kopalni pokazano problemy związane z adaptacją wyrobisk dla celów podziemnej trasy turystycznej. Obecnie w zabytkowej sztolni "Czarnej", będącej częścią podziemnej trasy turystycznej, przystąpiono do prac modernizacyjnych. W artykule podjęto próbę wykorzystania technik cyfrowych do sporządzenia modelu 3D w celu wizualizacji podziemnej trasy.

The output of one in the last gold mine in Złoty Stok ceased in 1961. The history of this mining dates back to a thousand years ago. In 1995 the Underground Museum of Gold Mining and Metallurgy in the abandoned mine was founded. Problems connected with the adaptation of excavations for an underground tourist route have been presented, including the abandoned mine as an example. It is only recently that modernization of the historic adit called Czarna, which is part of the Underground Tourist Route, has started. The article presents an attempt of the use of digital techniques for a three-dimensional model for visualization of the underground route.
