The article presents the tests that were conducted to examine the possibility of the fuel filter shank’s thread shearing under the impact of hydrostatic pressure. Increasedwear due to friction was confirmed on the threads of the titanium shanks that were tested, together with significantly reduced wear of the mating threads and steel sleeves. Shearing tests confirmed that to shear a thread that is worn to a degree similar to the threads that were tested, it is necessary to apply eight times more static pressure than the maximum pressure in the filter. A comparison of the shape of the coils of the thread that was subjected to the pressure test with the thread from the damaged filter demonstrated a significant difference in the wearing of these elements due to friction.

W artykule przedstawiono przeprowadzone badania możliwości ścięcia gwintu trzonu z filtra paliwa pod wpływem działania ciśnienia hydrostatycznego. Potwierdzone zostało występowanie znacznego zużycia przez tarcie badanych gwintów tytanowych trzonów oraz wyraźnie mniejszego zużycia współpracujących z nimi gwintów stalowych tulejek. Próby ścinania wykazały, że do ścięcia gwintu zużytego w stopniu zbliżonym do badanych niezbędne jest zastosowanie 8-krotnie większego ciśnienia statycznego niż maksymalne ciśnienie występujące w filtrze. Porównanie kształtu nitek gwintu trzonów poddanych próbie ciśnieniowej z gwintem z filtra, który uległ awarii, wykazało znaczną różnicę w zużyciu tych elementów przez tarcie.

Znaczne głębokości otworów i związane z tym duże ciśnienia i temperatury oraz środowisko korozyjne mają decydujący wpływ na kierunki modernizacji połączeń gwintowych. Ponadto zapuszczanie rur do otworów kierunkowych i poziomych niesie za sobą obciążenia elementów połączenia gwintowego. W oparciu o wymagania eksploatacyjne, których źródłem są warunki obciążeniowe i środowiskowe występujące w odwiertach naftowych i gazowych dokonano przeglądu konstrukcji połączeń gwintowych rur dla górnictwa otworowego.

Big depths of holes and high pressures and temperatures related as well corrosive environment have decisive impact on development of thread connections modernization. Additionally casing/tubing running to the directional and horizontal holes results in increasing loads of thread connection surfaces. The review of tubular thread connections for petroleum industry is presented on the basis of production requirements and load and environment conditions impacts.

The present study concerns with the analysis and modeling of thread connections of hydroturbine units mountings. The boundary element method scheme for the numerical analysis of a problem is proposed. Various contact models of the screw and the flange are considered. Based on the presented numerical results using the least squares method the convenient engineering formulae for determination of the stress concentration in thread connections, which considers not only the root radius, but also sliding friction factor between contacting surfaces, is constructed.

W artykule tym przedstawiono ujęcie probabilistyczne obliczeń niezawodności złącz śrubowych. W tym celu opracowano systematykę typowych uszkodzeń oraz niezawodnościowych stanów granicznych złącz śrubowych. Zamieszczono również propozycje oszacowania niezawodności złącza śrubowego w etapach: projektowania, realizacji i eksploatacji. Zaproponowano sposób modelowania niezawodności złącza śrubowego ze względu na utratę jego nośności ciernej, a wyniku tego utratę stabilności przy obciążeniach zmiennych. Rozważano prawdopodobieństwo zdarzeń, jakie występują w wyniku utraty stabilności sprzężenia ciernego złącza będącego pod wpływem obciążeń eksploatacyjnych.

In the paper is presented the probabilistic concept of reliability calculation of thread connections. To realise this objective the system of typical defects and boundary reliability states of thread connections has been developed. There have been also given propositions of the estimation of reliability of the thread connection in the stage of design, realisation and operation. The method of modelling of reliability of the thread connection due to the loss of friction load capacity and the loss of stability under variable loads has been proposed. There has been considered the probability of events that occur as the result of the loss of friction connection stability under operational loads.
