On the basis of the 72-year (1933-2004) series of mean monthly values of air temperature in Warsaw there were considered the dates of starts and lenghts of the six thermic seasons typical for the Polish climate (Table 1). It has been stated that in the analysed period the biggest changeability was characteristic for winters (from 0 to 138 days). Winter was grown shorter by 3 days ever 10 years: early spring was grown longer by 2 days ever 10 years, autumn, early winter and spring were grown longer insignificantly and summer length did not change.
