The paper presents a test stand for plate heat exchangers, allowing to identify the technical condition and to predict durability of the heat exchangers used aboard the sea-going ships: ”Oceanograf”, ”Władysław Orkan”and a passenger-car ferry, under the condition that they are of the same type and manufactured by the same company. In the first part three different installations with plate heat exchangers in the engine rooms of sea-going ships were chosen. Then for those ship installations heat exchangers were selected similar to the plate heat exchangers installed on the laboratory test stand. Next a diagnostic model was developed based on the heat similarity. At the end the measurement results were analysed and it was concluded that durability of plate heat exchangers operated aboard sea-going ships could be predicted.

Omówiono przykłady zakłóceń w pracy skraplaczy turbinowych podczas ich normalnej eksploatacji. Skutki zaburzeń zobrazowano przez wartości głównych wskaźników jakościowych skraplaczy obliczonych na podstawie wskazań standardowej aparatury pomiarowej zainstalowanej w charakterystycznych miejscach instalacji. Ukazano również podstawowe wskaźniki techniczno-ekonomiczne bloku energetycznego, mające ścisły związek z parametrami charakteryzującymi pracę skraplacza. Te wzajemne relacje wskaźników wykorzystano do przedstawienia wpływu poszczególnych zakłóceń w pracy skraplacza na ekonomikę bloku energetycznego. Celem przytoczonych przykładów jest zobrazowanie zasadności podejmowania właściwych decyzji i należytej kontroli eksploatacji tego typu urządzeń przez personel ruchowy.

Discussed are examples of disturbances in the work of turbine condensers during their regular operation. Results of these happenings are illustrated by the values of main quality factors of condensers calculated on the basis of indications obtained from a standard measuring equipment located in characteristic places of the installation. Shown are also a power unit basic technical and economic factors having close connection with the parameters characterizing a condenser work. Those mutual indicator relations are used to present the influence of individual disturbances in a condenser work on a power unit economics. The aim of the mentioned examples is to illustrate the relevance of making proper decisions as well as the need of appropriate inspection of such type of an equipment conducted by the continuous operation personnel.
