A module system of thermal diagnosis has been developed and put into practice in the BOT Power Plant Opole. The described system includes the following modules: a module of preliminary and advanced validation measurements data, a module of calculation of indices characterizing the operational indices of power unit, a module of simulation of the power unit operation and a module for calculation of deviations of the index of specific consumption of the chemical energy of fuel as a result of the deviations of indices characterizing the operational condition of the power unit. The server of this computer system is connected by means of Ethernet web with ProMan-N server. Measurements data from object distributed control systems of power units and also constant and other data are collected within one minute sampling. The results of calculations are saved in the database of the system. The system will provide the information necessary to current control and to estimate operation of power units and the whole power plant. The main objectives of the system are estimation of operation of power units taking into account energy production, examination of the influence of change of parameters of operation on the obtained results and on the fuel consumption. The friendly graphic interface enables the presentation of results in the form of schemas, reports and diagrams. The main benefits which result from the introduction of the system are reduction of expensive analyses done by external firms and possibility of analyses of energy balances in particular technology units.

A module system for thermal diagnosis has been developed and put into practice at the BOT Opole Power Plant. The described system includes the following modules: preliminary and advanced validation of measurement data, thermal calculations of the boiler, calculations of indices characterizing the operational conditions and its deviation of the index of specific consumption of fuel chemical energy. The advanced validation of measurement data is based on the criterion of Gauss likelihood function maximization and on the validation model of the steam cycle. The DIN 1942 standard is applied for thermal calculations of a steam boiler. Reconciliated measurements data and unmeasured parameters of power unit operation for calculations of indices characterising the operational conditions have been used. A simulation model of power unit has been worked out. The developed model is applied for calculations of the deviation of the specific consumption of chemical energy of fuel.

Przypomniano znaną w diagnostyce medycznej metodę przedstawienia dokładności techniki diagnostycznej w kategoriach czułości i swoistości przy pomocy krzywych ROC. Na przykładzie wyników badań termograficznych krążników stosowanych w przenośnikach taśmowych zwałowarki i układu nawęglania pokazano sposób wyznaczania wartości dyskryminacyjnej wskaźników temperaturowych.

The paper reminds a method that is commonly known in the medical sciences. This method concerns on the diagnostics technology accuracy presentation through the sensitivity and the specificity categories with (he ROC curves. The method of the discrimination values determination was shown on the thermal emission test results examples of the belt dumping conveyors runners and the coaling system belt conveyors runners.
