In the previous year, the 7th Garden Festival in Bolestraszyce was already held. It is an annual event that brings together Polish garden enthusiasts and creators, teachers and young landscape architecture adepts, and even primary school representatives. Festivals have been organized since 2011 by the Arboretum and the Department of Physiography in Bolestraszyce, near Przemyśl. It has been initiated thanks to the funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The festival is surrounded by the substantive care of the Landscape Architecture Association, the Association of Polish Landscape Architects, the Polish Nurserymen Association and the Polish Dendrological Society. Show gardens are an unusual variety of gardens – they serve to present the latest trends in the art of space arrangement and present, popularize new plant varieties. In recent years, they have also gained a wider educational function, often referring to environmental problems or various socio-cultural issues.

J.-J. Rousseau pisał: „To uwaga, jaką skupiamy na drobiazgach, sprawia, iż stają się one ważnymi obiektami”. Czy tak też jest w przypadku paryskiego drobiazgu, czyli parku Bagatelle? W artykule podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie – Czy owa „bagatela” jest godna naszej uwagi z historycznego i krajobrazowego punktu widzenia? Bez wątpienia tak. Stanowi harmonijny przykład przekształceń od ogrodu regularnego przez prywatny jardin anglaise do doskonale funkcjonującego miejskiego parku publicznego, ze specjalistycznymi kolekcjami i słynnym konkursem róż. Kolejni projektanci – T. Blaikie, F.J. Bélanger, J.C.N. Forestier – nadali mu niepowtarzalny charakter i spójną formę, kreując prawdziwie paryską ikonę elegancji ogrodowej. Doskonale sprawdziło się tu połączenie francuskiej odmiany ogrodu angielskiego z układami formalnymi i widocznymi już wpływami modernizmu.

It is a harmonious example of transformation from the private jardin anglaise to perfectly functioning urban public park, with specialized collections of plants and roses competitions. Successive designers: T. Blaikie, F.J. Bélanger, J.C.N. Forestier, gave him a unique character and consistent form, creating a truly Parisian elegance icon garden. Perfectly worked here a combination of French varieties of the English garden formal systems and already visible influences of modernism.
