W artykule przedstawiono wizyjny system kontroli i diagnostyki zjawisk trybologicznych występujących w kolejowych hamulcach tarczowych. Przedstawiono program do pomiarów geometrycznych hamulca tarczowego podczas analizy profilu jasności linii poprowadzonej przez obraz. Opisano sposób pozyskania obrazów z wykorzystaniem systemu wizyjnego firmy HARD soft. System ten wyposażony jest w kamerę CCD progressive scan, konputer Pentium (400 MHz, 256 RAM) oraz kamerę Frame Grabbe korzystającą z magistrali PCI. Opracowano program pomocniczy w języku MATLAB służący do testowania metod przetwarzania obrazów takich jak filtracja medialna, znajdowanie konturów metodą (Sobela, Robertsa, Trewita, Mar Hildretha), obliczanie histogramu, segmentacja binarna oraz wieloprogowa. Przedstawiono program zasadniczy, który umożliwia: skanowanie obrazu, ręczne wskazanie punktów na obrazie dla których program oblicza odległość, ręczne wskazanie przez użytkownika odpowiednich minimów w przebiegu jasności wybranej linii poprowadzonej przez obraz, automatyczną analizę profilu jasności linii, automatyczny odczyt wielkości geometrycznych hamulca tarczowego w określonych strefach pomiarowych.

Visional system of controlling and diagnostic of the tribological phenomena existed in the railway disk brakes is presented in this article. The way of obtainment the images during the diagnostic test of disk brake of real vehicles is presented. The way of obtainment the images with using the visional system HARD soft company is described. This system is equipped with the CCD camera, the progressive scan, the Pentium computer (400 MHz, 256 RAM) and the Frame Grabber card using the PCI bus. The auciliary program in MATLAB language is worked out that applied to testing the selected methods of the images processing like median filtration, finding the outlines with method (Sobel's, Robert's, Prewitt's, Mar Hildreth's), calculation the histogram, binary and multi-thresholded segmentations. The essential program is presented that enables: scaling the image, manual indication the points in the image for wihich the program calculateds the distance, manual indication by the user the suitabled minimums in the run of illuminance of the selected line drawn through the image, automatic analysis of the profile of line illuminance, automatic readout of the geometric quantity of the disk brake in the defined measuring zones.
