Nowadays great importance is placed just to carry out tests on materials. Implementation the test is of great importance in determining the properties of materials, such as physical and mechanical as well as other side to check when comparing these characteristics with other materials. Test result may also be determine the optimal area, ext. conditions in which the tested material will work. For the implementation the test is necessary to have designed and constructed a test system, which can be used to establish material properties. There are many kinds and types of tests to test systems used. Therefore, this contribution deals with the design of the test system, the very principle of testing in high vacuum. The vacuum is being used increasingly not only in laboratory instruments, but also in various production processes and applications.

Opisane w referacie układy modelowe umożliwiają szybkie i dokładne wyznaczanie podstawowych właściwości łączeniowych materiałów stykowych przeznaczonych na styki łączników niskiego napięcia. Znajomość tych właściwości ułatwia nie tylko poznanie zjawisk zachodzących na stykach podczas łączeń. Umożliwia również racjonalny dobór materiałów na styki łączników i optymalizację poszczególnych właściwości łączeniowych badanych materiałów stykowych.

The designed test systems allow to conduct the right investigations of switching properties of contact material expected to use in switches of small power. The knowledge of these properties is a main factor to explain the contact phenomena while breaking load. Furthermore it allows to choose the right contact material for the use in practice and to optimize its properties.
