W referacie przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów absorbancji całkowitej w zakresie promieniowania IR w próbkach oleju LOTOS SYNTETIC SAE 5W/40 API SJ/CF/EC eksploatowanego w silnikach samochodowych zasilanych LPG i dwupaliwowo (LPG+benzyna), oraz oleju ELF SEMI-SYNTETIC SAE 10W/40 API SL/CF eksploatowanego w silniku zasilanym benzyną.

This paper presents the results of measurements of total IR absorption on the range of IR radiation in the LOTOS SYNTETIC SAE 5W/40 API/CF/EC used in LPG-powered engines and bi-fuel (LPG + petrol) and ELF SEMI-SYNTETIC SAE 10W/40 API/SL/CF used in petrol-powered engine. In all cases in the initial time a significant dynamics of oil thermooxidation process is observed and after a few thousand km a significant slowdown. The kind of petrol used in the engine has an influence on an initial period of oxidation process of the oil. The period of intensive oil thermooxidation is the shortest in LPG-powered engine, but the longest in the petrol powered engine.
