The article presents genesis, essence, process, classical model, evolution and future trends of the strategic management which includes the following issues: strategy and its environment (the process of strategy and top management), the overall corporate strategy and financial models, growth and entry into the markets, the industry (sector) and competition, the theory of corporate resources.
