3D field analysis in 3-phase amorphous modular transformer under increased frequency operation

The calculations results of the temperature distribution in a 3-phase transformer with modular amorphous core are presented. They were performed for two frequency values which were higher than the power system one. For the 3D field analyses the Finite Element Method (FEM) was used. The calculated temperature at the points of the core surface has been verified using an infrared camera.

In the paper an algorithm of temperature calculation in plate bearings during their work is described. The results of temperature's level calculation in bearings for different conditions of their work using the proposed model and FEM model are given as well as the results of an experimental check on heat bearing work conditions. The differences between results of calculation and experiment are insignificant.

The measurement and calculation of gas temperature inside a switchgear during fault arc period

A method of calculation of the gas temperature during short-circuit fault arcing inside a tight switchboard with air insulation is presented, based on the equation of heat conduction. Results of experimental investigations of the gas temperature affected by the travelling fault arc are also presented. The model design, testing set-up and conditions of the investigations are described. The results of calculations and experiments are compared.

W artykule przedstawiono metodę obliczania temperatury gazów wewnątrz rozdzielnicy szczelnej z izolacją powietrzną podczas zwarć łukowych w oparciu o równanie przewodnictwa cieplnego. Przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych temperatury gazów podczas zwarć z łukiem wędrującym. Opisano model do badań, układ probierczy i warunki badań .Wyniki obliczeń porównano z wynikami badań eksperymentalnych.
