The rapid increase in the number of vehicles in cities and the intensity of their movement necessitates the use of appropriate transport management solutions. Various telematics techniques are used in logistics transport management in cities, which are the basis for the functioning of telematics systems. This article analyses selected telematics techniques used in logistics transport management in cities and presents the developed concept of changes in logistics transport management in the city of Piła, including the use of appropriate telematics techniques. The existing telematics system in the city of Piła and the proposed solutions were subjected to appropriate examination. This study aimed to verify the quality of the current state of the system and learn opinions on the proposed solutions that could be implemented in Piła, considering the effects that could be achieved as a result of improving the existing system. The survey method was used to obtain relevant information. The questionnaire developed, containing the elements assumed in this study, was addressed to respondents residing in Piła and its environs. The survey was conducted in December 2020 and January 2021.

The transport systems are now equipped with more telematics devices for improvement the functionality and safety purposes. One of the methods of evaluating telematics systems is modeling. The paper presents the basic model of typical land transport means (vehicle with anti-collision system, railway system) related to standard reliability model including non-safety, critical state. This model based on Markov processes theory may be more detailed corresponding to “telematics” control state connected with system reaction for driving improper action or device failure and activation the emergency control procedure.

Security mechanisms of a telematics system are exceedingly intersecting as they could pretend the ordinary influence of the vehicle and perhaps terminate in accidents. This paper includes a new look at automotive and telematics transportation systems, also refers to methods in modelling, facility location, data processing and assessment of risk in telematics networks.

The continuous development of urban areas significantly affects the life, functioning, moving residents of the urban agglomeration. For that reason, the only way to increase the parking capacity in cities is to construct more multistory parking lots. Direct correlation of social, environmental and economic factors sets the way of parking lot planning and design basing on sustainable development principle. The article describes the variables that influence the parking lot management model and presents computer methods that can be used to identify the factors affecting it. The measurements of traffic intensity at the entrance and exit of a shopping centre in Wroclaw are also included. The developmental nature of this project requires that certain problems to be analysed more closely. The article includes the impact of the use of telematic tools to manage parking lots.

The perspective of use the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model in telematics environment which ensure a reliable access to network resources is presented in the paper. The BYOD model is a future-proof solution which applies in areas related to database systems. It provides the user wireless access with the use of 802.11n/ac/d standard, mobile access via WiMax-2 or LTE-A networks and wired with the use of Gigabit Ethernet technology. The research network which reflects the events representative for the telematics environment was established for the verification of functional capabilities of BYOD model. Services that offer a user the synchronization of files between mobile terminals and data server were implemented in testbed. A detailed set of test scenarios and criteria for assessment of the declared properties model BYOD were also defined. The article presents the results of research that confirm the use of this type of networking solutions for mobile and reliable access to data in a telematics environment.

W referacie, na podstawie literatury, dokonano analizy możliwości zastosowania nowoczesnych systemów telematyki transportu do oceny aspektów ekonomicznych i ekologicznych eksploatacji pojazdów lekkich i ciężkich, napędzanych silnikami o zapłonie iskrowym i samoczynnym. Skupiono się przede wszystkim na kwestii energochłonności ruchu tego rodzaju pojazdów wykorzystywanych w przewozach drogowych.

In this paper, based on the literature review, the analysis of the applicability of modern transport telematics systems to evaluate the economic and ecological aspects of light and heavy duty vehicles use, powered by engines with spark and compression ignition, has been presented. The focus is primarily on the issue of energy consumption by motor vehicles, which are used in road transport.

Skupiono się przede wszystkim na kwestii energochłonności ruchu pojazdów samochodowych, wykorzystywanych w transporcie drogowym.

The article presents opportunities for the Intelligent Transport System for the city of Wroclaw. In the first part the authors illustrate the current state of the system. The next section presents the results of studies into roads in the city of Wroclaw. The survey respondents were included, i.e. drivers, transport companies and employees of the police, the ambulance and fire brigade. The Author’s research tool was a questionnaire, and the study was conducted using a diagnostic survey. The remaining results show some disadvantages of the system and new perspectives of its development. On the basis of studies the authors presented improvements of the overall architecture of the system. This will allow the police and internships brigades to work more efficiently with primarily alert.

W prezentowanym artykule przeanalizowano znaczenie zastosowania systemów telematycznych na funkcjonowanie transportu wodnego śródlądowego. Przedstawiono w nim kierunki zmian innowacyjnych, jakie dokonywane są w żegludze śródlądowej i specyfikę rozwiązań telematycznych stosowanych w tej gałęzi transportu, jako narzędzi wspomagających organizację i zarządzanie oraz realizację poszczególnych czynności wykonywanych w ramach procesów transportu wodnego śródlądowego. Spośród istniejących rozwiązań telematycznych wybrano i opisano System Informacji Rzecznej(RIS), który jest połączeniem zharmonizowanych systemów informacyjnych i zapewnia współpracę między właściwymi podmiotami i organami administracyjnymi. Przeprowadzona w artykule analiza pokazała, iż innowacyjne zmiany w transporcie śródlądowym powinny dotyczyć wdrażania systemów informacyjnych ze względu na ich liczne korzyści, zarówno w układzie wewnątrzgałęziowym, jak i międzygałęziowym.

In the article the importance of telematic systems for the functioning of inland transport has been presented. First part describes directions of innovative changes of inland shipping and specificity of telematics solutions used in this mode of transport, as a tools to support the organization and management and the realization specified activities within the inland transport processes. Among the existing telematics solutions RiverInformationServices(RIS) have been chosen and described. RIS is a combination of harmonized information systems and ensure cooperation between the relevant members and authorities.The analysis carried out in this article has shown that innovative changes in inland transport should relate to the implementation of information systems due to their numerous advantages, both in the intramodal and intermodal relations.
