W pracy przedstawiono prototyp systemu teleinformatycznego do rehabilitacji pacjentów po przebytym udarze mózgu. Rehabilitacja pacjentów była prowadzona z wykorzystaniem interaktywnych gier komputerowych, w trakcie których pacjent wykonywał zlecone ćwiczenia rehabilitacyjne, będące elementem scenariusza gry. W trakcie leczenia rodzaj gry oraz jej poziom trudności był dobierany w zależności od stopnia niedowładu poudarowego kończyny górnej oraz predyspozycji pacjenta. W badaniach wzięły udział dwie grupy pacjentów o porównywalnym stopniu i rodzaju skutków poudarowych, jedna z nich rehabilitowana była w sposób tradycyjny a druga eksperymentalna rehabilitowana była z wykorzystaniem systemu FizoGame. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań ilościowych, które wskazują na pozytywne efekty zastosowania gier komputerowych w rehabilitacji w porównaniu do procedur konwencjonalnych.

The paper presents a prototype of a teleinformatic system for the rehabilitation of patients after a stroke. The rehabilitation of patients was conducted using interactive computer games incorporating rehabilitation exercises in the game scenario. During the treatment, the type of game and its level of difficulty were selected depending on the degree of upper limb paresis and the predisposition of the patient. Two groups of patients with a comparable degree and type of post-stroke impairments participated in the study. The first one was rehabilitated in a traditional way and the other one was rehabilitated using the FizoGame system. The paper presents the results of quantitative research, which indicate the positive effects of the use of computer games in the rehabilitation comparing to conventional procedures.

The article describes the structure and functions of RevoCom telecare system. The main purpose of this system is to monitor the environment and improve the standard of care of older people living independently in their homes. Software and applications included with the system are original project created by RevoApp team. Terminals was made by NAKAYO company, which is engaged in providing telecommunications solutions in the Japanese market. RevoCom is based on VoIP and Android technologies, and the data used in it are stored on servers in the cloud, which allows you to access them from anywhere in the world.

Artykuł opisuje budowę oraz funkcje informatycznego systemu teleopieki RevoCom. Głównym zadaniem tego systemu jest monitorowanie otoczenia w którym znajdują się seniorzy oraz polepszenie standardów opieki osób starszych mieszkających samodzielnie w swoich domach. Aplikacje wchodzące w skład systemu są autorskim projektem zespołu RevoApp, natomiast terminale wykonała firma NAKAYO, która zajmuje się dostarczaniem rozwiązań telekomunikacyjnych na rynku japońskim. System RevoCom działa w oparciu o technologie VoIP i Android, a dane wykorzystywane w systemie przechowywane są w serwerach w chmurze, co umożliwia dostęp do nich z dowolnego miejsca na świecie.

This paper is about construction and application the control and measurement module, which is use to selected telecare system. The primary task of module are collection of data from sensors, processing this informations and send to the selected system. In the paper are presented ready systems and own dedicated solution with using selective microcontroller and sensors. Practical part of task is realization of prototypical module and adapt its to initial requirements.

Artykuł dotyczy konstrukcji oraz zastosowania modułu kontrolno-pomiarowego do współpracy z wybranym systemem teleopieki. Głównym zadaniem tego modułu jest gromadzenie informacji z określonych czujników i sensorów, odpowiednie przetworzenie tych danych oraz ich dalsze przesłanie do wybranego urządzenia lub systemu. Poruszony został temat wykorzystania zarówno dostępnych na rynku urządzeń jak i zaproponowano własne, dedykowane rozwiązanie zrealizowane w oparciu o wybrany mikrokontroler oraz odpowiednie układy pomiarowe. Część praktyczna pracy sprowadziła się do wykonania niezależnego prototypu, dostosowanego do założonych wymagań wstępnych.

Preventive systems for the late complications of diabetes

Aim of this work is to review and characterize methods and systems that are used to prevent onset and to slow down the progression of the late complications of diabetes. Two groups of methods and systems that might be used to prevent or to slow down the progression of the late complications of diabetes are characterized in this paper. Each of these two groups serves a different purpose. The first group is composed of the systems that facilitate a maintenance of strict metabolic control in diabetic patients, i.e. the systems which are used for monitoring and treatment of diabetes. The second group contains systems that are aimed at screening/monitoring or treatment of the risk factors or the early signs of the late complications. Obesity increases risk of diabetes and its complications. Thus, body mass monitoring and control systems are examples of the tools that belong to this group. Other examples include the diabetic retinopathy telescreening systems and the systems for monitoring of the diabetic foot syndrome.
