The features of the tectonic structure together with the geological and geomorphological zoning of Kyiv city are highlighted in the article. Particular attention is paid to the floodplains of the Dnieper River, which were formed by the hydraulic fill method. As a rule, such sites were created for new constructions and were quickly built up with low rise buildings, the bases of which were made using such hydraulic soils. Completed engineering-geological investigations of sites after hydraulic filling and observation of the base deformation over time allowed setting of the basic regularity and rules for construction on such territories. The ongoing development of the city has also covered these territories, where high-rise buildings, shopping malls, and other buildings are actively being built, and the loads from these must be transferred to reliable bases.

In order to study the dynamics of vertical crustal movements it was processed database with 196 stations according to the results of GNSS-observations on the permanent stations. Based on the continuous series of observations we determined the changes of absolute and regional velocity of vertical crustal movements, their spatial distribution and relationship with the tectonic structure of the region. We made the maps of regional rates of vertical crustal movements in the period since 2000-2011. It was also investigated seismic activity in Europe during this period. The accumulated research results indicate the necessity for systematic studies of the impact of various geophysical factors on the stability and permanent displacement of plants and their relation to seismic activity.

W celu zbadania dynamiki pionowych ruchów skorupy ziemskiej przetworzono wyniki obserwacji GNSS z 196 stacji permanentnych. Na podstawie ciągłej serii obserwacji stwierdzono zmiany absolutnej i regionalnych prędkości pionowych ruchów skorupy ziemskiej, analizowano ich rozmieszczenie przestrzenne i zależność od tektonicznej struktury regionu. Wykonano mapy rozkładu regionalnych pionowych ruchów skorupy ziemskiej w latach 2000-2011. Badano również aktywność sejsmiczną w Europie w tym okresie. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na konieczność systematycznych badań wpływu różnych czynników geograficznych na stabilność kontynentu oraz potwierdzają związek między stałym przemieszczaniem się roślin a aktywnością sejsmiczną.

Problem kopalin towarzyszących stale towarzyszy odkrywkowej eksploatacji węgla brunatnego. W niniejszym artykule podjęto próbę oszacowania ilości odmian litologicznych gruntów, które potencjalnie będą mogły być wykorzystane jako kopaliny towarzyszące złożu węgla brunatnego Złoczew. Wykorzystano do tego środowisko systemu MineScape, w którym powstał model warstwowy oraz blokowy, uwzględniający skomplikowaną budowę tektoniczną złoża. Jednak słabe rozpoznanie złoża otworami wiertniczymi powoduje, że obliczenia zasobów mogą być obarczone znacznym błędem.

The issue of associated mineral raw materials constantly accompany the exploatation of lignite. In the following article it is attempted to estimate the number of lithological types which potentially could be used as associated minerals raw material in Zloczew lignite deposit. The environment of the MineScape system, in which a stratified and block model was created, has been used. It includes complicated tectonicaly structure of ledge. However, the weak recognition of ledge by drilling holes causes the situation in which the calculation of volumes may not be precise.

This work attempts to assess the extent of the relationships between subsurface and surface dynamics in local tectonic structures. Based on cartographic, seismic reflection and borehole data two study areas containing complex subsurface structures were chosen. Near Wierzchowo (Pommeranian Synclinorium) there are two anticlines and, near Płońsk - in the Warsaw Synclinorium, grabens are present. The structures have had a long term development during the evolution of the Mid-Polish Swell. Any positive relationship between local subsurface structures and surface lineations has yet to be demonstrated, a conclusion based on the lack of any obvious recent tectonic activity. However, it seems possible that some of the tectonic features of the area might be identified in regional scale. In the local structures renewed movement on old dislocations might be dissipated upwards and may be assumed to have different spatial properties in near-surface conditions. The Recent structural pattern seems more likely to be related to the nature of the Pleistocene ice sheets which have covered that area.

Niniejsza praca jest próbą znalezienia związków pomiędzy lokalnymi strukturami tektonicznymi a elementami dynamiki powierzchni terenu. Analiza oparta na materiałach kartograficznych, opracowaniach sejsmiki refleksyjnej, profilach wierceń została przeprowadzona na dwóch obszarach o złożonej strukturze wgłębnej i długiej historii rozwoju. Są to antykliny w okolicach Wierzchowa (Synklinorium Pomorskie), oraz rowy tektoniczne rejonu Płońska na obszarze Synklinorium Warszawskiego. Nie stwierdzono związku lokalnych struktur wgłębnych z powierzchniowymi strukturami linijnymi co może to być wyrazem braku współczesnej aktywności tych struktur. Pewien wpływ kierunków pochodzących od wału środkowopolskiego zaznacza się jednak w skali regionalnej. Aktywność wzdłuż odnawianych starych dyslokacji może się w tym przypadku rozpraszać ku górze i przyjmować odmienną charakterystykę przestrzenną. Występowanie osadów czwartorzędu może skutecznie tłumić wpływy dynamiki podłoża i narzucać plan strukturalny związany z aktywnością plejstoceńskiego lądolodu.
