Emisja dwutlenku węgla jest jednym z najważniejszych problemów przemysłu cementowego związanych z ochroną środowiska. W celu zmniejszenia tej emisji przemysł podjął szereg działań, jednak nie zapewniają one osiągnięcia do roku 2050 poziomu wyznaczonego przez IEA i WBCSD-CSI jako graniczny. Wymagają one więc wykorzystania metody wyłapywania CO2 i jego składowania. Równocześnie jednak proces ten jest drogi i wymagający dużych nakładów kapitałowych co czyni jego wprowadzenie mało realnym. W związku z tym ośrodki badawcze podjęły prace zmierzające do rozwinięcia tej technologii, aby stała się ona możliwa do wykorzystania. Prowadzone są badania szeregu technologii w celu zastosowania magazynowanego CO2 do wytwarzania spoiw wiążących i materiałów budowlanych. Sześć takich technologii, które wydają się najbardziej obiecujące, omówiono w tej pracy. Zostały one opracowane lub są w trakcie opracowywania przez następujące firmy: Calera Corporation, TecEco Pty Ltd., Calix Corporation, Novacem Limited, Solidia Technologies i Kajima Corporation.

The emission of carbon dioxide is one of the most serious environmental concerns of the cement industry at large. The industry has adopted various steps to reduce the specific emission of carbon dioxide but with all these measures it appears that the industry would not succeed to achieve the target of carbon dioxide emission set for 2050 by the IEA and WBCSD-CSI, unless recourse is taken to the process of carbon capture and storage (CCS). At the same time the CCS process, being expensive and capital intensive, may not ultimately be viable for the industry. Hence, the concerned research community is engaged in adding value to the captured carbon dioxide so that the process turns out to be viable. In this context, several technologies are being researched upon to develop cement and building products by utilizing the captured carbon dioxide. Six such technologies that are relatively more promising have been selected for elaboration in this paper. These technologies are the ones developed or being developed by Calera Corporation, TecEco Pty Ltd., Calix Corporation, Novacem Limited, Solidia Technologies and Kajima Corporation.

In the work meaning of normalization in processes improvement of products and decrease of then variety is described. The article shows how the quality management standards in production sector, law regulations and competition have the intermediate bearing on technology progress. Additionally the work shows which from the main of improvement methods and innovation - investment actions can be use to increasing the technology progress and designing the new technology.
