In this paper the benefits (measurable and non-measurable) of using technological instrumentation in welding processes are presented. Examples of standard and special tooling are presented too. Presented a practical example shows the measurable benefits obtained by using such instrumentation.

It has been presented a course of proceedings in determining the initial dimensions of the material to the bending operation.

The article presents a model technical solution for modular vacuum chamber and a technological instrumentation for different experimental performance of PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating processes with use of thin surface layers. A structure of the research stand is presented with main construction elements. Reconfiguration of the effector and control modules allows performing a research and development of introducing novelty technologies for physical deposition of coating from the gas phase. All those configuration possibilities allow performing the technological processes with use of arc and magentron sources. A developed chamber structure includes different connection ports and allows performing an analysis of the pyrometric measurement of temperatures processes and spectral analysis of the deposited layers in situ composition. The chamber uses novelty solution for protection of the AEGD (Arc-Enhanced Glow Discharge) electrode against harmful deposition of the products of PVD. A similar solution is used to protect materials against evaporation and impurities among substances in the plasma stream.

Opisano budowę i sposób korzystania z bazy - biblioteki przyrządów i uchwytów do obróbki skrawaniem i części znormalizowanych do ich konstrukcji oraz bazę narzędzi do nagniatania powierzchni zewnętrznych i wewnętrznych. Bazy opracowano przy wykorzystaniu programu ACCESS. Aplikacja umożliwia szybki przegląd umieszczonych w niej rozwiązań, a ponadto pozwala na dalsze jej rozszerzenie o nowe rozwiązania konstrukcyjne. W przypadku projektowania narzędzi do nagniatania możliwe jest otwarcie automatyczne rysunku w programie AutoCAD w celu jego modyfikacji lub wykorzystania w konstrukcji nowego narzędzia. Zamieszczono również pełną dokumentacje rysunkową przyrządów skonstruowanych, wykonanych i wdrożonych w warunkach przemysłowych przez autorów.

The paper describes the structure and method of using a database - a library of machining devices and fixtures and standarized parts used in their construction, and a database of tools for burnishing external and internal surfaces. The databases have been developed using the ACCESS program. The application enables quick browsing through the database to view solutions contained therein and allows it to be further extended by adding new designs. In the case of burnishing tools, automatic opening of a particular drawing in Autocad program and its subsequent modification or use for a new design is also possible. A full drawing documentation of devices designed, constructed and implemented by the authors in industrial conditions was included.
