Ważnym etapem projektowania ESP jest wybór obrabiarek i urządzeń technologicznych. W procedurach wyboru stosuje się: punktację wagową, wnioskowanie rozmyte, systemy ekspertowe oraz eliminację opartą o kryteria krytyczne i zdolności technologiczne. Zastosowanie w procedurach zaleceń standardu ISO 10303 STEP i koncepcji elementarnych obiektów obróbkowych pokazuje możliwości włączenia procedury wyboru obrabiarek do jednolitej przestrzeni informacyjnej cyklu życia wyrobu.

An important step in designing FMS is the choice of machine tools and technological devices. The selection procedures are used: scoring weight, fuzzy inference, expert systems and elimination based on criteria critical and technological capabilities. Application procedures recommendations of the standard ISO 10303 STEP and the concept of elementary objects of machining shows the possibility of including the selection procedure of machine tools to a uniform information space of the product life cycle.

The construction of technological test stands is connected with the problem of the proper determination of the structure of the stands to enable the execution of technological processes with different types of instruments and devices. The article presents a test stand for Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) technological processes. The configurability of the stand was achieved thanks to the modular structure of the stand and the use of appropriate software and hardware solutions. The authors present examples of the utilisation of the structure of the stand for the modernisation of existing technological devices and the development of new ones.

Budowa technologicznych stanowisk badawczych przeznaczonych do prac rozwijających nowe technologie wiąże się z problemem określenia właściwej struktury stanowiska, umożliwiającej realizację procesu z odpowiednim oprzyrządowaniem lub realizację różnych procesów z wybranymi zestawami oprzyrządowania. W artykule przedstawiono stanowisko do badań procesów technologii Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). Możliwość rekonfiguracji stanowiska uzyskano poprzez zastosowanie modułowej struktury stanowiska oraz odpowiednich rozwiązań systemu sterowania odnoszących się do warstwy sprzętowej i programowej. Przedstawiono przykłady wykorzystania struktury stanowiska do modernizacji istniejących i budowy nowych urządzeń technologicznych.

Przedmiotem artykułu są problemy bezpieczeństwa dźwignic w aspekcie obowiązujących Dyrektyw UE i przepisów krajowych. Na podstawie klasyfikacji przyczyn nieszcześliwych zdarzeń przedstawiono opracowaną przez Urząd Dozoru Technicznego statystykę nieszczęśliwych wypadków i niebezpiecznych uszkodzeń z udziałem suwnic w latach 2000 - 2009. Określono wymagania stawiane dźwignicom w świetle norm zharmonizowanych poprzez przewidywanie zagrożeń i wynikający właściwy dobór środków bezpieczeństwa dla przeprowadzenia procedury oceny zgodności.

The paper is describing selected safety problems of cranes on the base of exiting regulations both European Union and Polish authorities. On the basis of classification of causes of unfortunate events presented by the Office of the Technical Inspictetion the statistics on accidents and dangerous failures in the years 2000 - 2009 with crane use have been presented. Requirements specified to the cranes in the light of the harmonized standards by anticipating hazards and proper selection of the resulting security measures for carrying out conformity assessment procedures have been also discussed.

Purpose: The paper discusses two new technologies for producing magnetic materials which have been successfully developed in recent years at the Institute of Physics of the Czestochowa University of Technology and discusses properties of the materials obtained with the use of these methods. Design/methodology/approach: In this research the arc-plasma deposition of Nd2Fe14B powders onto a substrate either cooled with water or heated up to a temperature in the range from 773 to1023 K was applied. In the second method the suction of an arc-melted alloy to a water-cooled copper mould (the suction-casting method) was introduced. Moreover, microstructure, magnetic properties and domain structure of the produced samples were determined. Findings: It has been found that thin Nd2Fe14B strips obtained by the plasma method possess magnetic properties. It has also been demonstrated that the suction-casting method makes it possible to obtain both amorphous magnetically soft materials (e.g. Fe-Co-W-Zr-B), as well as magnetically hard nanocomposites (e.g. (Fe-Co)-(Pr-Dy)-B-Zr). Research limitations/implications: The main problem in the suction-casting method is to reduce the critical cooling rate required for the production of amorphous alloys and to increase the geometrical dimensions of amorphous specimens. Practical implications: Thin-layered Nd-Fe-B magnets produced by means of arc-plasma deposition can be applied directly onto the surface of electromagnetic equipment parts. Magnets with isotropic magnetic properties were obtained by applying layers onto the water-cooled copper substrate. Whereas, anisotropic magnets were obtained as a result of the arc-plasma deposition of powders onto the copper substrate heated up to 873 K. The most advantageous properties were achieved for the microcrystalline structure of a grain size close to the single-domain particle size (approx. 0.3 μm). Moreover, it has been demonstrated that the suction-casting method makes it possible to obtain bulk amorphous alloys of considerable sizes, such as rods of magnetically soft Fe-Co-W-Zr-B alloys of a diameter up to 2 mm, as well as Fe-Co-Pr-Zr-B tubes of a diameter up to 3 mm. It is also possible to produce magnetically hard nanocomposite materials of the (Fe-Co)-(Pr,Dy)-B-Zr type by annealing of metallic glasses. Originality/value: Successfully introduced new methods of magnetic materials manufacturing.

Content available remote Plasma furnace for smelting and casting metal up to 3000 K

Purpose: The aim of our investigation was a development of plasma furnace for preparing castings of titanium alloy Ti64 ELI by remolding in laboratory at our research workplace. The reason of this paper writing was publishing of innovative information to the technical society. Design/methodology/approach: The objectives were achieved by solution of much research and development works in the very long time interval. The main methods used for our research was study of physic-chemical interaction between a liquid metal and surrounding atmosphere. The approach to the topic of our research was the elimination of interactions between the C, O, N and H and Ti, Al, V, Y, Zr in liquid metal. Contemporary we have solved also the acute ceramic mould for casting of perfect castings from metal of very high affinity to C, O, N and H. The main subject scope of the paper is assignee of very clean materials and much application from that. We are oriented particularly on the preparing parts of cementless total hip joint replacement (THR) and instruments for implantation. Findings: We have created the new original design of the plasma furnace for smelting and castings of high reaction of metal up to 3000 K. temperature. The main conclusion of our result was a practical using for research on very high level and for production of metal and castings from special metal in the final shape. Practical implications: It has been found that the quality of castings from Ti and Nb alloys is very good. The quality of casting was tested by metallographic analysis and by notch specimens. We have been finding out that the mass of casting can be approximately 1.00 kg. This is true statement in the first approximation if the new plasma furnace is arranged as smelting - cleaning - casting system. If the new plasma furnace is arranged as continual smelting system, than we can obtain ingot with the mass two or more kilograms. Originality/value: The design of new plasma furnace is original and also the castings from Ti, Ta and Nb alloys are in our laboratory original resultants and the metallographic analysis as well. In the case, when the castings with a good biocompatibility plays important role, this new plasma furnace can be very useful for preparing implants for body skeleton and spatial casting of material of very high affinity to elements as C, O, H, and N.

Content available remote The web-based programming interface for the Mitsubishi Movemaster robot

Purpose: of this paper. The aim of this paper is to present a prototype of web-based programming interface for the Mitsubishi Movemaster RV-M1 robot. Design/methodology/approach: In the previous papers [11-14] the off-line, remote programming system for the mentioned robot has been presented. It has been used as a base for developing a new branch: web-based programming interface. The web techniques have been selected due to possibility of use existing code fragments for elaborating new applications and modularity of this solution. Findings: As a result, a prototype of the system has been developed. Research limitations/implications: Because the presented system is in the early development stage, there is a lack of some useful functions. Future work will include elaboration of the robot's visualisation module and implementation of a trajectory translator intended to co-operate with CAD software. Practical implications: The elaborated system has been previously intended for educational purposes, but it may be adapted for other devices, like small PLC's or other robots. Originality/value: Remote supervision of machines during a manufacturing process is an actual issue. Most of automation systems manufacturers produce software for their PLC's and robots. Mitsubishi Movemaster RV-M1 is an old model and there is very few programs dedicated to this machine. On the other hand the programming and development of applications for this robot are very easy. The aim of the presented project is to develop a flexible, remote-programming environment.

Purpose: The main goal of this paper is that, the robot integrated manufacturing systems are more popular and useful in the industry. Moreover, the communication in those systems might be realized by many different data exchange solutions. Using this kind of solution causes the data exchange incompatibility. This paper deals with different ways in informatics connection of all of the components in robot integrated manufacturing system. Design/methodology/approach: Incompatibility is a result of usage many different communication systems between components in lathe center. The way of mutual signal connections were the target of researches. Findings: As a result of scientific work, the universal and compatible informatics connection system of the robot lathe center was created. Research limitations/implications: The project of the data exchange system is confined to PROFIBUS DP lan. Practical implications: The result of the researches was developing a technical element choice procedure of the data exchange depending on transport means quantity and system composition in the robot lathe system. Originality/value: This is a brand new paper, which describes internal systems of data exchange in robot integrated manufacturing system in example of automatic lathe center.

Content available remote Testing of quality of sowing by pneumatic sowing machines

Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to presents two sowing machines for interval sowing, differing in the mode of operation. We were interested in adequacy of sowing at different working speeds of the pneumatic vacuum sowing machine OLT and the pneumatic pressure sowing machine Aeromat - Becker for sowing sugar beet. The goal of the paper is to find out the optimum working speed for the individual sowing machine. Design/methodology/approach: : In completely identical conditions at different speeds of sowing two sowing machines which are most widely used in Slovenia were tested. Findings: We measured and calculated the parameters such as working efficiency, depth of sowing, inter - row distance and distance between seeds in the sowing row. Research limitations/implications: For successful sowing it is necessary to know adequacy of the soil for sowing, technical properties of the sowing machine and biotechnical characteristics of the seed. Cultivation of sugar beet depends primarily on expert and technically correct sowing. For growth and normal development of plants the distance between seeds in the sowing row is the most important parameter. Practical implications: Expertly performed sowing and sowing machines are of great importance for cultivation of sugar beet. The tests were aimed at defining the most suitable sowing speed for both sowing machines on the basis of measured data. The principal aim of the paper is to establish whether the higher working speed influences the quality of sowing. It is very important for the producers to be well familiarized with all agro-technical measures because cultivation of sugar beet requires much money invested and work performed per unit of area. Originality/value: : The optimum sowing speed of the pneumatic vacuum machine OLT is 8 km/h and the optimum sowing speed of the pneumatic pressure sowing machine Aeromat - Becker is 10 km/h.

W artykule przedstawiono propozycję wykorzystania identyfikacji obrazu z zastosowaniem kamery CCD do kontroli poprawności naniesienia oznaczeń produkcyjnych w zautomatyzowanym procesie. Omawiane zagadnienia zostały poruszone w sposób ogólny tak, aby nie ograniczyć podanej metodologii do opisanego przykładu lecz móc je zastosować do innych zagadnień istotnych w wielkoseryjnej produkcji. W artykule położono nacisk na rozdzielenie fabrycznej bazy oznaczeń od systemu weryfikacji w celu podniesienia efektywności całego systemu, który przy tym założeniu może stanowić wydzielony moduł produkcyjny (EPU).

We consider the CCD image identification usage for controlling the correctness of production makers placement in the automated processes. Splitting the markers database and the verification system were used to increase the system efficiency. This approach also enables creating the separated production module (EPU). Although the article is based on a specific system, the given ideas can be adopted to other applications in the multi-series production.

W referacie przedstawiono ogólną charakterystykę maszyn i urządzeń technologicznych oraz ich racjonalne umiejscowienie w zakładzie produkcyjnym w ujęciu systemowym. Wyodrębniono technologie mielenia specjalnego i scalania materiałów. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na urządzenia technologiczne stosowane w tych technologiach, a mianowicie: młyny wibracyjne i obrotowo-wibracyjne, prasy wibracyjne oraz prasy walcowe. Zamieszczono także przykłady modeli matematycznych procesów mielenia specjalnego i scalania wybranych materiałów, opracowane głównie w oparciu o badania własne i ich wykorzystanie m.in. przy konstrukcji specjalistycznych maszyn i urządzeń.

The paper introduces the general characteristics of the machines and technological devices placed in the production plant, which have been based on the system theory approach. The specially grinding and materials’ integration technologies was distinguished. The special attention has been paid to the technological devices using those technologies: vibrating mills, mills based on both rotation and vibration, as well as vibrating presses and roll presses. The examples of mathematical models for specially grinding and selected materials’ integration processes were also included. The above were based on the author’s research and their implementation, among other in specially machines’ and devices’ construction.
