Modeling the behavior and shape of space objects is widely used in modern astrophysical research methods. Such studies are often used to determine the shape and modeling of physical parameters of variable stars and asteroids. Therefore, based on the database of photometric observations of resident space objects (RSO) available in the Laboratory of Space Research of Uzhhorod National University, it was decided to find a means for modeling light curves to confirm the shape of objects and determine the parameters of their rotation by analogy with objects in deep space. We attempted to use Blender software to model the RSO synthetic light curves (LCs). While Blender has been a popular open-source software among animators and visual effects artists, in recent years, it has also become a tool for researchers: for example, it is used for visualizing astrophysical datasets and generating asteroid light curves. In the process of modeling, we used all the advantages of Blender software such as Python scripting and used GPU. We made synthetic LCs for two objects – TOPEX/Poseidon and COSMOS-2502. A 3D model for Topex/Poseidon was available on the NASA website, but after research of official datasheets, we figured out that the available 3D model requires corrections in the dimensions of the RSO body and solar panel. A 3D model of COSMOS-2502 was made according to available information from the internet. A manual modeling process was performed according to well-known RSO’s self-rotation parameters. For example, we also show the results of LC modeling using the Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method. All synthetic LCs obtained in the research process are well correlated with real observed LCs.

In this paper, we make an attempt to use the QHY174M-GPS camera for the photometry research of fast-rotating artificial objects including debris, satellites and rocket bodies. This device is useful for imaging occultations, eclipses, meteors, and so on due to a highly precise recording of the time (GPS-based) and location of the observation on every frame and fast readout of the CMOS detector. The precision of time registration by the QHY174M-GPS camera is at the level of microseconds. All light curves obtained by studied camera during observations of artificial satellites in this work were carried out at Derenivka Observatory of Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine. The created photometric system with QHY174M-GPS camera as the detector and reflector telescope with parameters D=120 mm, F=114 mm, FOV=2.82°×1.76° was calibrated. For target observations, SharpCap software was used. For the purposes of photometry processing, ccd_phot software was developed using Python 3.8 programming language with astropy and photutils packages. Photometry observations of artificial satellites of the Earth and standard stars were carried out. Over 80 lightcurves of artificial satellites were obtained. Comparing synchronous observations from two sites, separated 15 km from each other, we can conclude that photometry on the QHY174M-GPS camera gave us the same shape of lightcurve and additional advantages, such as time of exposure or simplicity of usage.

The COVID-19 pandemic requires many companies changing the way of their operations because of the lock down of movement and limitation of facing contact, etc. This also is an opportunity for companies to utilize technology and use digital space to keep their works and companies' activities. Companies can encourage their labors via policies of promotions. However, how to evaluate employee performance fairly, unbiasedly, and transparently? The existence of AI (Artificial Intelligence), especially machine learning, might be a solution for this due to the fact that it can automatically evaluate individual workers' performance. Therefore, the performance evaluation process ensures that the system works without interference from people outside of the system. In the paper, a framework of KPIs building systems to evaluate individual workers is represented as a solution for applying the advantage of AI (machine learning techniques) in Vietnamese companies. It can help them to improve the labor productivity and increase the workers' quality in the labor market in general.

Purpose: The aim of this paper was to verify the necessity of devising a tool, method, procedure of selecting research methods and techniques for the research process, in order to increase the quality and reliability of the conducted research. Design/methodology/approach: Within the scope of the research process a questionnaire was used, which was distributed in two forms to management theoreticians and practitioners. 401 management science theoreticians and 118 management practice representatives were examined. Thus, the research problem was defined as follows: Is it necessary to develop (model, procedure, tool, approach) to the research process? Findings: Conclusions derived from the completed analysis of national and foreign literature on management sciences indicate the need to perform a diagnosis. The diagnosis refers to the development of a procedure for selecting methods and techniques for the sake of research processes in management sciences. The research carried out has identified the methods, procedures and approaches that are most relevant to the research process and its various components in management sciences. This makes it possible not only to determine the extent to which individual methods and techniques are used or combined, but also to identify certain regularities in the perception of the research process in this context and other variables that may influence the relevance of the appropriate choice of methods and techniques for the research process in management science in order to increase the reliability, level and quality of the research conducted. Research limitations/implications: The methodological and method-related correctness of the presented work is confirmed by the answers to the questions included in the questionnaires. They most often highlighted barriers in planning and conducting scientific research, obstacles beyond the methodological ones, mistakes most often made in scientific research in management sciences, the applicability of results to business practice. Practical implications: The conclusions of the research confirm that for the effective operation of the research process, it is necessary to develop a kind of 'behavioural algorithm' that will allow methods to be adapted to the posed research problem, once the gap has been defined, which will result in added value for practice. This is also confirmed by reactions of management practitioners to these statements. 89% of the surveyed practitioners believe that there is a need to develop a model, procedure, tool or approach to support the appropriate selection of methods for the research process. Social implications: In management sciences it is genuinely easy to create ‘new theories’ that are not finally verified. A swift introduction of new, recommended management-related concepts and methods, as well as their rapid rejection resulted in negative organisational changes. It would be difficult to determine the reasons why the applied methods lack effectiveness. Was the failure triggered by an inadequate method used for a management process or by its unskilful implementation. Originality/value: One verified the necessity of devising a tool, method, procedure of selecting research methods and techniques for the research process, in order to increase the quality and reliability of the conducted research. The elaborated methods, procedures or models were verified in practice with the aim of making the research reliable.

Purpose: The aim of the article is to compare the results of research on the use of research methods and techniques in solving management problems and in verifying which of the two acceptable approaches in the research process dominates among practitioners and theoreticians of management sciences. Design/methodology/approach: The survey was conducted by means of a questionnaire. The research was addressed to management science theoreticians and management practitioners being the target group covering: 272 foreign universities; 21,024 foreign researchers; 93 domestic universities; 2,307 domestic researchers; 52 foreign companies, 183 domestic companies. As a result of the research effort, 401 representatives of management science theoreticians and 118 practitioners were examined. Findings: The carried-out research has made it possible to identify methods, procedures, techniques and approaches that are most relevant to research processes in management sciences. Furthermore, both scientists and practitioners of management sciences use the same research methods. Research limitations/implications: It should be stated that management science and the methods used in it should support business practice and, to some extent, provide guidance to managers and directors. Management should be treated as a normative science, the aim of which is to formulate the principles of effective and efficient functioning of enterprises. Practical implications: The conclusions resulting from the carried-out research explicitly indicate that both scientists and practitioners of management sciences use the same research methods, i.e.: analysis of documentation, questionnaire, observation and interview. Research results obtained during the research process in the field of management sciences should be applied in practice. Social implications: Owing to the involvement of scientists and practitioners in research, it can be concluded that, while defining a research problem, it is difficult to choose a single method which allows for a full and thorough diagnosis of the problem under investigation. It is therefore necessary, in the research process, to use a variety of methods which will provide a comprehensive response to the posed problem. Originality/value: The research carried out has made it possible to identify methods, procedures, techniques and approaches that are most relevant to the research processes in management sciences. They were carried out in two stages. The commitment of both theoreticians and practitioners to the research process resulted in a broader interpretation of management sciences and allowed the author to diagnose the studied issues more fully and thoroughly.

Metal oxide semiconductor gas sensors are widely used in monitoring of the air pollution. Temperature modulation has been proven to be an efficient technique to improve the performance of those sensors. Changing the temperature of the semiconductor surface can lead to increase in the amount of the information from the sensor response. However, the nonlinear dynamic response is very complex and impedes the analysis. Therefore, the utilization of certain data analysis techniques, including feature extraction methods is required. In this article different techniques of extracting features from temperature modulated sensor response are presented.

Jednym ze sposobów poprawy ich właściwości jest zastosowanie techniki modulacji temperatury. Pozwala to między innymi zwiększyć ilość informacji uzyskiwanej z nieliniowej odpowiedzi czujnika. Współcześnie, energia pochodząca ze spalania węgla, ropy naftowej oraz gazu ziemnego napędza gospodarki rozwiniętych przemysłowo krajów. Dalsze wykorzystanie tej energii na aktualnym i prognozowanym poziomie zużycia związane jest z dość istotnym problemem - zasoby tych węglowodorów są ograniczone i coraz trudniejsze do pozyskania. Z tego względu próbuje się eksplorować nowe złoża, w tym złoża niekonwencjonalne, a także poszukiwać dotychczas nieodkrytych złóż ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego pod dnem morskim. W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z poszukiwaniem złóż ropy naftowej i gazu pod dnem morskim. W szczególności zaś przedstawiono krótki opis tworzenia się złóż węglowodorowych pod dnem morskim oraz zaprezentowano podstawowe techniki używane do ich poszukiwania.

Today, energy coming from burning of coal, crude oil and natural gas drives Industries of developed countries. However, its future consumption on the actual and expected level is connected with the quite significant problem - hydrocarbon resources are limited and more difficult for exploration. Therefore, we try to discover the new geological layers (including non-conventional hydrocarbon energy sources), and find non-discovered ones located beneath the sea bottom. In this paper, issues connected with searching hydrocarbons sources located beneath sea bottom are presented. Especially, the brief description forming of these offshore sources, and major survey techniques used for their discovery are presented.

The aim of this paper is to highlight contemporary grey area in fair presentation of architectural project. Historical evolution of depicting techniques shows adequacy of architectural “visions” to the manifestations of art in subsequent historical periods. A breakthrough in the presentation of projects turned out to be the departure from realism in Art. Building designs were presented in a similar, abstract manner. At first it was a domain of groups of avant-garde artists and architects. Situation has changed after World War II followed by the division of Europe into two political and economy zones, and formation of the so-called people's democracy countries. In state-owned, big design offices and contractor companies, design drawings were delivering professional information to the professionals. At the same time, in capitalist countries, presentations of designs were aimed at private investors, majority of whom were not architects. Therefore, for practical reasons they took on decidedly realistic forms. A computer with graphic software offers now almost unlimited possibilities of presenting hiperrealistic and thus seductive images. Flair and creativity are sometimes substituted with software manipulations. Professional ethics should become the principal virtue in contemporary design rendering.

Historyczna ewolucja technik przedstawiania wykazuje adekwatność „wizji” architektonicznych i manifestacji artystycznych w kolejnych historycznych okresach. Przedstawianie budynków, które jeszcze istniały w wyobraźni architektów, zmuszało ich do stosowania różnych metod prezentacji. Przełomem w sposobach prezentacji architektonicznej było odejście od realizmu w sztuce. Projekty zaczęły być przedstawiane w podobnej, abstrakcyjnej manierze. Początkowo dotyczyło to awangardowych grup artystów i architektów. Sytuacja zmieniła się po drugiej wojnie światowej, po której nastąpił podział Europy na dwa obozy polityczne i powstanie tzw. państw demokracji ludowej. W państwowych, wielkich biurach projektowych i firmach budowlanych rysunki przekazywały informacje pomiędzy fachowcami. W tym samym czasie, w krajach kapitalistycznych, projekty kierowane były do prywatnych inwestorów, których większość nie była architektami. Dlatego, z przyczyn praktycznych, przedstawienia te miały zdecydowanie bardziej realistyczny charakter. Wyposażone w software komputery oferują dziś niemal nieograniczone możliwości prezentowania hiperrealistycznych, a więc uwodzicielskich wyobrażeń architektury. Czasem, fantazja i pomysłowość twórcy zastępowane są manipulacjami za pomocą oprogramowania. Etyka zawodowa powinna więc stać się główną cnotą tworzących współczesne przedstawienia architektury.

Artykuł ten poświęcony jest charakterystyce technik automatycznej identyfikacji w łańcuchu dostaw. Przyspieszenie realizacji procesów logistycznych, możliwość ciągłego monitorowania łańcucha dostaw i automatyzacja pracy w magazynach to najważniejsze kierunki usprawnień w logistyce. Środkiem umożliwiającym te usprawnienia są rozwiązania z zakresu automatycznej identyfikacji i przechowywania danych ADC (ang. Automatic Data Capture), lub Auto ID (ang. Automatic Identyfication). Ze względu na powszechność zastosowania identyfikacja za pomocą kodów kreskowych jest szeroko znana, natomiast wiedza na temat pozostałych technologii jest znikoma. Należy podkreślić znaczenie systemów automatycznej identyfikacji we współczesnej logistyce, poprzez poszerzanie wiedzy o niej, a także wskazanie kierunku ich rozwoju. Artykuł obejmuje charakterystykę metod automatycznego gromadzenia danych wraz ze sposobami ich zastosowania. Omówiono również korzyści płynące z wykorzystania technik automatycznej identyfikacji dla współczesnego przedsiębiorstwa.

This article is devoted to the characterization of techniques for automatic identification in the supply chain. Accelerating the implementation of logistics processes, the ability to continuously monitor the supply chain and workflow automation in warehouses is the most important directions of improvement in logistics. Means to achieve these improvements are solutions for automatic identification and data storage ADC (Automatic Data Capture called), or Auto ID (called Automatic IDentification). Due to the wide application identification using bar codes is widely known, and the knowledge of other technologies is negligible. "Lean" is a management philosophy that enhances customer value through waste elimination and continuous improvement in a system, by applying lean principles, practices and techniques. The focus on lean implementations and research had been on a single company without extension to the entire supply chain. When the lean concept is implemented across the entire supply chain, however, it is referred to as a lean supply chain. The purpose of this paper is to review literature on lean in the supply chain and identify research trends and issues within the field. The paper involves a comprehensive review of articles on lean in the supply chain using structured content analysis. The reviewed articles were classified based on the basic characteristics and contextual issues of the articles. The researchers in the field agree that the identified benefits of lean in the supply chain, which include reduced cost, improved quality, faster delivery and flexibility, are linked to the implementation of certain lean principles, practices and techniques in the supply chain. Most of the reviewed articles are case studies, and evidence for the benefits of lean in the supply chain is anecdotal. While the empirical work done in the field is encouraging, quantitative studies to substantiate the claims for the efficiency of lean in the supply chain are lacking. In the reviewed articles, the manufacturing sector received much attention, while the service sector received little attention from researchers in the field. It was generally suggested that the supply chain members, suppliers and manufacturers should be considered in the implementation of lean in the supply chain, while the inclusion of distributors and end customers was not discussed in detail in many of the reviewed articles.

The paper presents structure and experimental results of the control system of the PWM rectifier with active filtering function. Proposed control system was designed for maximum filtering performance in steady state. This task is realized by predictive algorithms applied for both control as well as calculation of grid currents. Accuracy of these algorithms strongly depends on precise information about future samples of equivalent electromotive force of the grid, which is in general distorted and unbalanced. For this purpose, a novel estimator and predictor is proposed. The control of DC voltage is realized with application of variable gain PI controller. It ensures high dynamics in transient states and low gain for steady state oscillations of DC voltage. Proposed control system is AC voltages sensor less and has excellent active filtering performance, even at presence of grid voltage distortions.

Przedstawiono podstawowe informacje związane z przygotowaniem próbek środowiskowych do analizy na zawartość składników śladowych. Z punktu widzenia jakości wyników analitycznych i możliwości ich wykorzystania jako jednego z elementów procesu podejmowania decyzji dotyczących ochrony i zarządzania środowiskiem właśnie etapy przygotowania próbek nabierają pierwszorzędnego znaczenia. Natomiast charakter i liczba operacji analitycznych związanych z tym etapem określonych procedur analitycznych zależy od poziomu szczegółowości dostępnych informacji o pobranej próbce oraz od celu jakiemu mają służyć pomiary analityczne (analityka sepcjacyjna, określanie tzw. parametrów sumarycznych czy też składu pierwiastkowego poszczególnych analitów).

The paper presents basic information on the preparation of environmental sampIes for trace analysis. Sample preparation is of utmost importance for the quality of analytical results and their usefulness for decision making in the area of environment protection and management. The type and number of operations required for a given procedure is determined by the available information about the sample and the goal of the analytical determination (speciation analysis, determination of total parameters or elemental composition, etc.).

The paper present a novel approach for generating multipurpose models of machining operations combining machine learning and search techniques. These models are intended to be applicable at different engineering and management assignments. Simulated annealing search is used for finding the unknown parameters of the models in given situations. It is expected that the developed block-oriented framework will be a valuable tool for modeling monitoring and optimization of manufacturing processes and process chains. The applicability of the proposed solution is illustrated by the results of experimental runs.
