Currently, the processing and transmission of the vast amount of information accompanying material flows are performed using modern computer and telecommunications technologies. However, the achieved results differ depending on the company's preparation to receive a specific information technology (IT). One of the main problems, that need to be solved before starting the implementation of an integrated management system, is to set up all the rules for indexing and labeling information contained in databases. This issue is of key importance because it unifies records in databases making them unique based on their features and/or parameters, furthermore it enables qualification and selection of information according to specific criteria. Moreover, it facilitates data accumulation process. The research conducted on the content of databases showed items inactive for over 5 years, in an amount of 28% to 45%, in the majority of the surveyed enterprises. This situation requires database cleaning and only active index files can be used for generating a new database. The database cleaning process should aim to organize information in current materials management databases for present data processing needs, furthermore it should also prepare existing resources for transfer to the new IT system

Aktualnie przetwarzanie i przesyłanie ogromu informacji towarzyszących przepływom materialnym realizowane jest za pomocą nowoczesnych technologii komputerowych i telekomunikacyjnych. Jednak uzyskiwane efekty są bardzo różne w zależności od przygotowania przedsiębiorstwa do przyjęcia określonej techniki informatycznej. Jednym z zasadniczych problemów, z jakimi należy uporać się przed rozpoczęciem wdrożenia zintegrowanego systemu zarządzania, jest ustalenie wszelkich zasad indeksowania i znakowania informacji zawartych w bazach danych. Zagadnienie to ma kluczowe znaczenie, bowiem z jednej strony ujednolica zapisy informacyjne w bazach i czyni je unikalnymi ze względu na cechy czy parametry, z drugiej zaś, umożliwia selekcjonowanie i wybieranie informacji według określonych kryteriów oraz agregowanie danych. Wykonane badania zawartości baz danych wykazały, że w większości badanych przedsiębiorstw występowały pozycje nieaktywne od ponad 5 lat, w ilości od 28 do 45%. Sytuacja taka wymaga oczyszczenia bazy danych i dopiero pliki aktywnych indeksów mogą być podstawą utworzenia nowej bazy materiałowej. Istotnym efektem tej operacji ma być z jednej strony uporządkowanie informacji w aktualnych bazach związanych z gospodarką materiałową dla bieżących potrzeb przetwarzania danych, z drugiej przygotowanie istniejących zasobów do migracji do nowego systemu informatycznego.

The modeling and simulation technology has been an influential technology in the research of management science. The information technology and application has been more and more important in scientific research. In the following is to introduce some emerging trend and hot topics researches in modeling and management. The title and abstract are presenting here and the full paper can be tracked by Google scholar. These papers had been peer-reviewed by the scientific committee from an International Workshop on the Modeling and Management Science that was held in Zhengzhou University, during Dec. 9-11, 2011.

Information technology development affects structural changes of the society and traditional organizations, as well as human behavior. Organizations undergo internal changes - increasing the meaning of competence, and external changes - susceptibility to co-operation with other organizations. Virtual enterprises become virtual enterprise organizations - formed by the image of the society as a whole. Intellectual resources created by human beings and transferred into structures of global information systems affect changes of human behavior. In human behavior, they increase the role of subject participation, both in the structures of separate organizations as in the society as a whole. Human beings become not only the subject of economic processes but also, to a larger and larger degree, the subject of political and social processes. The logic analysis of structural changes of the society leads to a possibility of a general description of methods and factors of assurance of integrality and cohesion (harmonizing) of human behavior and co-operating enterprises in the early information era.

Gestalt psychologists promulgated the principles of visual organisation in the early twentieth century. These principles have been discussed and re-emphasised, and their importance and relevance to user interface design is understood. However, a limited number of systems represent and make adequate use of this knowledge in the form of a design tool that supports certain aspects of the user interface design process. The graphic design rules that these systems use are extremely rudimentary and often vastly oversimplified. Most of them have no concept of design basics such as visual balance or rhythm. In this paper, we attempt to synthesize the guidelines and empirical data related to the formatting of screen layouts into a well-defined model. Fourteen aesthetic characteristics have been selected for that purpose. The results of our exercise suggest that these characteristics are important to prospective viewers.

In the current scientific paper the term "reengineering" has been defined and the place of information technology (IT) in total restructuring of enterprises and institutions, as based on a general outline of "reengineering", has been pointed out. One has also indicated business fields where adaptation of information technology is possible and described effects of the use of it in business activities. In the final part of the paper, in addition to the summary and some conclusions, future opportunities for IT usage in economic works and undertakings have been pointed out.
