Objectives: The aim of the article is to present the experience gained by the Polish Military Contingent in Iraq in the field of logistic support and preparation of military equipment. An additional goal is to present how the process of technical security of the Polish Armed Forces outside the country has evolved. Methods: Theoretical research methods were used to author this article, e.g. analysis of specialist military literature and the empirical method - diagnostic survey, interview technique. Based on the observations of soldiers and military personnel, the basic elements of technical protection and preparation of military equipment for a military mission were presented. Results: The analysis of the collected information allowed to identify and characterize the experience gained by the Polish Military Contingent in Iraq in the field of logistics support and preparation of military equipment. The article presents the types of used equipment, which has undergone continuous adaptation and modifications. Conclusions: A meticulously organized and functioning technical subsystem determines the proper functioning of military units. The main task of the technical subsystem is to meet the needs of the Polish Armed Forces in times of peace, crisis and war by providing the appropriate amount of military equipment with a maintenance base, as well as providing repair services in the right place and time. On the other hand, in the training process, the technical subsystem prepares logistic units for technical protection in order to ensure the continuity of operations by military subunits.

The article analyzes military transport operating within the Armed Forces logistics system. The proprietary method of its evaluation was presented. The technical subsystem has been characterized with the specification of the requirements it is faced with. General criteria for the assessment of the technical subsystem were identified, distinguishing the equipment, personnel, technical material resources, training and experience of soldiers, as well as their combat readiness and flexibility. The essential part of the discussion is devoted to empirical evaluation. It was made through the analysis of completed transport tasks. The research conducted with respect to the mileages of motor vehicles allows to ascertain whether the system is sufficient to meet the current needs. The mathematical model proposed allows to estimate the development tendency, based on which it is possible to formulate improvement proposals.

W artykule dokonano analizy transportu wojskowego, funkcjonującego w ramach systemu logistycznego Sił Zbrojnych. Przedstawiono autorską metodę jego oceny. Dokonano charakterystyki podsystemu technicznego z wyszczególnieniem stawianych mu wymagań. Zidentyfikowano ogólne kryteria oceny podsystemu technicznego, wyróżniając ukompletowanie w sprzęt, ludzi, techniczne środki materiałowe, wyszkolenie i doświadczenie żołnierzy a także ich gotowość bojową i elastyczność. Zasadniczą cześć rozważań poświęcono empirycznej ocenie. Dokonano jej poprzez analizę zrealizowanych zadań transportowych. Badania przeprowadzone w zakresie przebiegów pojazdów samochodowych pozwalają stwierdzić, czy system jest wystarczający do zaspokojenia realizowanych potrzeb. Zaproponowany model matematyczny pozwala oszacować tendencję rozwojową, na bazie której możliwe jest sformułowanie propozycji usprawnień.

Zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa kraju i jego obywateli przez posiadanie dobrze wyszkolonych sił zbrojnych będzie tylko wtedy skuteczne, jeżeli wyposażenie oraz eksploatowany sprzęt wojskowy będzie nowoczesny, odpowiednio zmodernizowany i dostosowany do potrzeb współczesnego/przyszłego pola walki, a przede wszystkim utrzymany na wysokim poziomie sprawności. Prawidłowe realizowanie głównych zadań zabezpieczenia technicznego przez Regionalne Bazy Logistyczne jest gwarantem utrzymania w odpowiedniej sprawności sprzętu wojskowego eksploatowanego w jednostkach i instytucjach wojskowych. Stacjonarne organy remontowe RBLog realizują zadania obsługowo-naprawcze w sposób planowy oraz nieplanowy jako naprawy bieżące. Ważnym elementem dobrze funkcjonującego podsystemu technicznego jest sprawne zaopatrywanie w techniczne środki materiałowe, właściwe planowanie zadań obsługowo-naprawczych, a także monitorowanie sprawności sprzętu technicznego w jednostkach i instytucjach wojskowych, co pozwala w odpowiednim czasie podjąć działania naprawcze i usprawnić sprzęt wojskowy.

Ensuring the security of the country and its citizens by having a well-trained Armed Forces will only be effective if the equipment and military equipment used is modern, properly modernized and adapted to the needs of the modern/future battlefield and, above all, maintained at a high level of efficiency. Proper implementation of the main tasks of technical security by the Regional Logistics Bases is a guarantee that the military equipment used in military units and institutions will be maintained in proper efficiency. The stationary repair bodies of the Regional Logistics Bases carry out maintenance and repair tasks in a planned manner and not as current repairs. An important element of a well-functioning technical subsystem is the efficient supply of technical material, proper planning of maintenance and repair tasks, as well as monitoring the efficiency of technical equipment in military units and institutions, which allows to take timely corrective actions and improve military equipment.

W artykule zostały przedstawione systemy informatyczne wspomagające służby związane z wojskowym dozorem technicznym i metrologią wojskową. Światowe trendy zarówno w logistyce cywilnej jak i wojskowej wskazują w tym zakresie na dążenie zarówno do ograniczania kosztów funkcjonowania każdego systemu logistycznego, jak i skracania czasu wykonywanych operacji i czynności.

In the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland since the nineties of the twentieth century for the development of military logistics, from the point of view of improving the efficiency of the logistics system, an important role was assigned to the implementation of IT tools to improve the work of logistics cells, including technical services. The article presents IT systems supporting services related to military technical supervision and military metrology. World trends in both civil and military logistics indicate the pursuit of limiting both the costs of functioning of each logistic system and shortening the time of operations and activities.
