This paper discusses some selected problems associated with the development and design of technical means for disabled persons and senior citizens. Domestic market for these products was characterised. Moreover, areas of possible development of domestic products as well as causes of poor development of products were examined and problems linked with communication within a designing team and member selection of such a team were indicated. Selected development trends in the global market of technical resources for disabled and senior persons were discussed.

W artykule omówiono wybrane zagadnienia związane z projektowaniem i rozwojem środków technicznych dla osób niepełnosprawnych i starszych. Scharakteryzowano rynek krajowy tych produktów. Podano obszary możliwego ich rozwoju oraz przyczyny słabego rozwoju. Wskazano na problem porozumiewania się w zespole projektowym i doboru takiego członków zespołu. Omówiono wybrane tendencje rozwojowe światowego rynku środków dla osób niepełnosprawnych i starszych.

The paper presents a method of network planning CPM – Critical Path Method. The author compares models of optimal solutions to design deadlines for individual works, taking various leading technical resources such as is labor and a tower crane into account.

W artykule podjęto próbę zdefiniowania czasów pracy analizowanego urządzenia. Zastosowany zestaw wskaźników ma na celu określenie zaburzeń efektywnego wykorzystania parku maszynowego w zakładzie produkcyjnym. Przeprowadzona analiza daje podstawę pomiaru tych parametrów, które mogą być modyfikowane. Obiektem analizy jest wybrane stanowisko procesu produkcyjnego w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjno-usługowym, które specjalizuje się w produkcji wózków dziecięcych.

This article attempts to define the operating times of the analyzed device. Set of indicators is used to determine the efficiency of disorders of the machinery in the factory. The analysis provides the basis for the measurement of these parameters that can be modified. The object of analysis is selected position of the production process of manufacturing and service sectors, which specializes in manufacturing prams.

The aim of this paper is to introduce a method of estimating requirements for resources of an e-learning platform which are important from the point of view of a reception quality (perceived quality) evaluation of educational services provided by the platform. It is assumed that the modeling process is based on real Web navigation scenarios the results of which have been stored as the logs produced by different parts of the software involved in putting the e-learning functions into effect. Moreover, some additional data could be obtained by slight modifications of a system software. In the paper, two educational portals are used as sources of example data describing the behaviour of corresponding e-learning systems due to service requests. It is shown how to effectively determine empirical probability distributions and corresponding statistics for the size and rate of files delivered by the Web server in response to requests, and the amount of RAM and CPU time consumed for the interpretation of scripts. That knowledge allows better estimation of the required capacity and performance of the platform.
