In the modern economy, effective teamwork is essential in the majority of industries. Teams of specialists such as crewmen and software developers need to be able to work together properly. The appropriate selection of team specialists according to their soft competencies results in synergies, and streamlines tasks. This paper presents the results of studies aimed at assessing the impact of team role configurations on overall team performance.

Publikacja poświęcona została zagadnieniu ról zespołowych i cech osobowości pracowników. Zaprezentowano charakterystykę ról Belbina oraz typy osobowości według Hartmana. Wskazano na znaczenie identyfikacji tych cech przy formowaniu zespołu. Przedstawiono również wyniki badań nad wybranymi cechami osobowości wśród studentów studiów stacjonarnych uczelni technicznej.

This paper is devoted to the issues of the team building process. The characteristics of Belbin’s roles and Hartman’s personality types are presented. The importance of identifying these characteristics while forming a team has been indicated. The results of the research on selected personality traits among students of full-time studies of technical universities are presented as well.
