The basic premise of organizations managed according to the Lean Management concept is to avoid any waste. This can be achieved by stimulating teamwork, which often takes the form of teamwork. The development and operation of autonomous and interdisciplinary teams is geared towards achieving goals and challenges. Such teams allow the potential of individual members to be exploited and, consequently, to supplement the competence gaps of each member. At the same time, competence gaps are the basis for shaping these teams.

Content available remote GROUP COMPOSER – system for modeling agents’ team building for tasks
EN
Multi-agent systems consist of many autonomous units, called agents, that can interact when trying to achieve their goals. The selection of interaction partners is called team formation. Three basic approaches can be considered to match multi-agent system resources to the problem at hand. To research the properties of di ff erent approaches, a software for modeling team formation in multi-agent systems has been created and is presented in this paper. Currently the software implements a centrally processed computerdriven group formation. University employee’s representation, with a few possible human characteristics, was used for verification. Tests performed on sample data confirm that chosen representation and algorithm are successful at finding groups which meet specific constraints.

Content available remote Team formation in a distributed environment: the idea and algorithms
EN
A process of team formation by autonomous agents in a distributed environment is presented. Since the environment is distributed, there are serious problems with communication and consistent decision making inside a team. To deal with this problems, the standard technique of token passing in a computer network is applied. The passing cycle of the token serves as the communication route, assures consistent decision making inside the team maintaining its organisational integrity, and is a component of the plan of the co-operative work performed by a completed team. Two algorithms for team formation are given. The first one is based on simple BDI-agents that still can be viewed as reactive agents although augmented with Belief, Desire, and Intentions. The second one is based on sophisticated BDI-agents. Moreover, the algorithm based on purely reactive agents, which is an adaptation of the static routing algorithm in computer networks, is constructed in order to compare its performance with performances of the team formation algorithms.
