W artykule omówiono metodę taksonomiczną służącą do podziału środków inwestycyjnych w przedsiębiorstwach dystrybucyjnych. Metoda ta pozwala rozdzielić środki finansowe przeznaczone na rozwój i modernizację sieci uwzględniając cztery aspekty rozwoju sieci: techniczny, ekonomiczny, środowiskowy i społeczny.

The article also discusses the taxonomy for the allocation of investment costs in distribution companies. This method is scattered financial resources allocated to the development and modernization of the network four aspects of development: technical, economic, environmental and social.

W artykule przedstawiono istotę metod eksploracji danych do zarządzania oraz zaprezentowano przykłady ich wykorzystania do wspomagania decyzji w sferze zarządzania produkcją w kopalniach węgla kamiennego. Przybliżono typową architekturę modułowego systemu ekspertowego, a także procedury eksploracji danych mające na celu pozyskanie wiedzy do wnioskowania w systemach ekspertowych. Prezentowane przykłady dotyczą eksploracji danych poprzez wybrane procedury: generowania drzew decyzyjnych, analiz statystycznych oraz metod taksonomicznych.

The paper presents the essence of data exploration methods for managing and presents examples of their use for decisions aiding in the sphere of production management in hard coal mines. The typical architecture of a modular expert system was brought closer as well as data exploration procedures aimed at acquiring of knowledge for concluding in expert systems. The presented examples regard the data exploration through selected procedures: generation of decision trees, statistical analysis and of taxonomic methods.

Environmentally conscious activities performed in, among other things, motor transport facilities are of considerable importance for the environmental protection. Unfortunately, the analysis of the situation confirms that environmental protection in this kind of facilities is put at the bottom of the agenda. The economic effect of the sale of services, backed up with the expenditure on marketing and oriented to the maximization of profits and not to the environmental protection still prevails. This paper discusses the choice of an environmental strategy for motor transport facilities using a taxonomic method. It provides the purpose for using this method to assess environmental issues and describes its determinants. Basic taxonomic equations an algorithm for the calculations are also presented. The taxonomic method is characterized on the example of harmfulness of generated waste. The paper presents the calculation results and their interpretation in respect of the choice of a suitable technology to be applied. The data pertaining to the nuisance from generated waste were collected from 15 companies offering motor transport services. In order to ensure credible results, we adopted the data for defined parameters collected during consultation meetings with the technical inspectors of the companies under study and with the employees assigned to specific jobs.

The article presents the matters connected with modelling an ecological strategy using a taxonomic method for a technical infrastructure of motor transport. The ecological problems are exceptionally crucial for this sphere of service activities of transport means. The article shows the essential facilities of a technical infrastructure required for proper service operation with related ecological threats. It also presents the justification for using a taxonomic method to evaluate ecological issues. Based on the total quantity of material waste, the article presents the method, calculation results and their interpretation concerning the choice of an appropriate technology for application.

W artykule zastosowano metodykę taksonomicznego grupowania podobieństw do oceny struktur organizacyjnych przedsiębiorstw hutniczych. Określono grupę zmiennych, umożliwiających grupowanie i porównywanie przedsiębiorstw. Szczegółowo omówiono elementy podstawowe struktur organizacyjnych przedsiębiorstw hutniczych realizujących strategię aliansów. Omówione wskaźniki przyczynią się do zwiększenia skuteczności globalnej integracji.

In the paper the taxonomic method is used to estimate organization structures in steel sector. Marks of similarity and differences are characterized. Particularly the basic elements of organizational structures is specified for metallurgical companies that realize alliance strategies. The indicators increase efficiency of global integration.
