An EPS ventilated panel, which may be applied as an external insulation to humid walls, is investigated. Dimensions of the air channel sections have been determined using the ANSYS software. Afterwards, the drying rate of the walls externally insulated with EPS, mineral wool and EPS ventilated panel has been compared using the WUFI software. The ventilated panel increases the drying rate when compared with the standard polystyrene panel and increases the heat loss through the wall by less than 20%.

Ze względu na zaostrzone wymagania ochrony cieplnej współczesne ściany jednowarstwowe wymagają szczególnych rozwiązań materiałowych i znacznej grubości. Najczęściej wykonywane są z bloczków z autoklawizowanego betonu komórkowego o małej gęstości oraz pustaków z ceramiki poryzowanej. Ze względu na porowatą strukturę materiały te chłoną dużą ilość wilgoci technologicznej z robót wykończeniowych. W konsekwencji wydłużeniu ulega czas dochodzenia do poziomu wilgotności ustabilizowanej. Problematykę tę szczegółowo przeanalizowano w artykule z wykorzystaniem programu komputerowego WUFI® PRO 5.

Due to tighter requirements for thermal protection the contemporary one-layer walls need special material solutions and significant thickness. The offered systems base mostly on autoclaved aerated concrete blocks of low density and aerated blocks of porized ceramics. Because of their structure these materials absorb much of technological moisture during finishing work. As a consequence the stabilised humidity period is increasing. This problem will be discussed by this article in detail.
