The article presents the experimental study on the stiffness performance of composite T cross-section wood-concrete beam. A 4-point bending test stand armed with 13 LVDT sensors and 2 accelerometers was prepared for the purposes of the experiment. The multistep test allowed to collect data (either on the basis of static and dynamic tests) on the basis of what a development of structural damage in the beam could be observed indirectly.
The calculation of the horizontal mine opening steel support can be performed by the special program, developed on the Department of Civil Mechanics (Faculty of Civil Engineering, VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava). It can take into account the geometrical non-linearity (large displacement), but other effects, like plasticity and stiffhess decrease due to change of the support section are not able to include into calculation. The paper describes the possibility to express these effects like the change of the beam stiffhess E • J.

This paper presents the application of dynamic method in the estimation of changes of reinforced concrete (RC) beams stiffness. The objects of research are three RC beams. Changes of beams stiffness are caused by changes of supports location and particular stages of loading the beams up to their failure. For each support location and after every cycle of loading and unloading the frequency characteristics are measured.
