In order to evaluate the character of the effect of grafting (the surface effect of L'surface of copolymerised poły (acrylic acid) PAA on the fibre, an attempt to imbue the fibre with acrylic acid (AA) onto the whole volume of the modified fibre), the presence of carboxylic groups was used, which would be able to create new electrovalent bonds together with kation dyers. The amount of the active centres available in the fibre influences the intensity of the obtained shade dyes. A very important parametre of the grafting baths is the pH value - that determines the speed and the degree of dye usage by the fibre in the bath, that's why its measurement in the dying solutions was included after the dying process. The evaluation of the evenness of the grafting was made easier by the microscopic photographs of the cross-cut of the fibre of the various grafting degrees.
