A modern methodology of computer aiding in the prosthesis design and manufacture process is presented in the paper. The hip joint prosthesis was utilised as an example. The whole process is realised in the integrated systems of computer tomography (CT), computer aided design (CAD), and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) on a numerically controlled machine (CNC). The process of the metal prosthesis manufacture in the CAM system is proceeded by the manufacture of epoxy physical models by means of the rapid prototyping method - stereolitography method (P-SLA).

W pracy przedstawiono współczesną metodykę komputerowego wspomagania procesu projektowania i wytwarzania endoprotez na przykładzie endoprotezy stawu biodrowego. Proces jest realizowany w zintegrowanych systemach komputerowej tomografii (CT), komputerowego wspomagania projektowania (CAD) oraz wytwarzania (CAM) na obrabiarce sterowanej numerycznie (CNC). Proces wytwarzania endoprotezy w metalu w systemie (CAM) jest poprzedzony wykonaniem epoksydowych modeli fizycznych metodą szybkiego prototypowania - metodą stereolitografii (RP-SLA).

According to the Polish Labour Code (Ustawa, 1974) employers are legally obligated to provide workers with information about occupational health and safety risks. Maximum allowable concentrations (MAC) and the results of determining chemical compounds in workplace air are used for assessing occupational exposure and risk. A computer-assisted system STER, developed in the Central Institute for Labour Protection, helps to register and document occupational risk assessment and all actions resulting from those assessments.
