W artykule ukazano fragmentu [!] analizy przestrzennej i przyrodniczej obszarów dzisiejszego centrum Poznania. Miasto przez ostatnie dwieście lat zostało w sposób znaczący przekształcone krajobrazowo. Burzliwe przemiany o podłożu głównie politycznym sprawiły, że trudno jest odnaleźć we współczesnej przestrzeni pejzaż Poznania z okresu przedrozbiorowego. I nie jest to tylko wynik rozwoju cywilizacyjnego. Trudno jest też w jakikolwiek sposób się do tamtego pejzażu odnieść. Jakiekolwiek opinie wypowiadane na ten temat wydają się mieć dość wątpliwą podstawę merytoryczną. W niniejszym artykule na podstawie jednego z elementów konurbacji poznańskiej osady Garbary przedstawiono formę i zakres analiz mających na celu odtworzenie całości krajobrazu Poznania – jego przestrzennego wizerunku z okresu przedrozbiorowego. Komentarz, który w tekście zamieszczono, jest odautorskim uzupełnieniem wyjaśniającym przyczyny wybranego wariantu przekształceń istniejącego już wtedy miasta.

This article is a fragment of research connected with central place of the Poznań town. Poznań landscape of central space in the last two hundred years was transformed in a meaningful way. The changes were so big that it is difficult to find in contemporary space elements of landscape from the past. Based on one of the elements of Poznań conurbation setlement Garbary I want to explain methods of recconstruction of landscape from XVIII centuries.

This publication is a presentation of the methodology to determine the degree of diversification and allocation of water resources in water supply systems; with a differentiated level of need based on the example of the municipality of Benissa Spain. The article shows a frequency of the changes and factors that affect the functioning of the water supply system. Moreover, its presents the calculation of the diversification indices for the selected water supply system while the methodology offers the possibility of evaluating the diversification of water resources in two parameters according to an adapted form of the Shannon-Weaver index.

Publikacja przedstawia metody wyznaczenia współczynnika dywersyfikacji i alokacji zasobów wodnych dla systemu zbiorowego zapotrzebowania wody cechującego się zróżnicowanym jej zapotrzebowaniem na przykładzie miasta Benissa w Hiszpanii. W pracy przedstawiono obliczenia stopnia dywersyfikacji zasobów wodnych, metodą dwu-parametryczną, wg zaadaptowanego wskaźnika Shannona-Weavera.

We consider a finite-horizon, periodic-review inventory model with inflow forecasting updates following the martingale model of forecast evolution (MMFE) in multiresevoirs. This model introduces a new method of determining an operating policy in which the policy is based on the dynamic programming (DP) model with a physical equation and a recursive equation. It adequately considers the internal relationship among multireservoirs in inter-basin water diversion projects (IBWDP) and calculates the expected benefits from future operation. The stochastic nature of the inflow is taken into account by considering the correlation between the streamflows of each pair of consecutive time intervals based on MMFE. According to interdependence, the probability of transition from a given state or stage to its succeeding ones can be calculated. Finally, to assess the effectiveness of the policies, the model is compared with other model and is applied to the Chinese South-North Water Diversion project.

Analizowano model okresowej inwentaryzacji wraz z przewidywaniem nawodnienia w systemie wielu rezerwuarów. Wprowadzono programowanie dynamiczne uwzględniające wewnętrzne relacje między rezerwuarami w dywersyjnych projektach wodnych. Model sprawdzono na przykładzie chińskiego projektu systemu wodnego północ-południe.

The Cistercian Order having in its rule soil cultivation as one of the main activities, developed in its congregation certain permanent principles regarding a choice of the monastery location and a manner in which it was arranged. Water constituted an inherent attribute of their layouts and it was used for economic and industrial purposes in a very skilful way. Throughout centuries, Cistercian streams and rivers, whose waters were captured in the form of canals, millstreams and ponds, constituted a source of water necessary to irrigate farmlands and gardens, to the proper work of ‘water crafts’ of mills, forges, breweries and fulleries. The article presents water systems in the territories administered by two abbeys, i.e. Cîteaux and Mogiła in order to show solutions in the range of large scale water management used by Cistercians. Transformations of the landscape which were made in the presented areas and their contemporary results should constitute the basis for further research on the influence of man’s activities on the natural environment, whereas historical systems and water devices should be researched at length and protected as cultural heritage of the white monks.

Zakon cystersów, mający w swojej regule uprawę roli jako jedno z głównych zajęć, wyrobił w swoim zgromadzeniu pewne stałe zasady dotyczące wyboru terenu pod lokalizację klasztoru i sposobu jego rozplanowania. Nieodłącznym atrybutem ich założeń była woda, w niezwykle sprawny sposób wykorzystywana do celów gospodarczych i przemysłowych. Cysterskie strumienie i rzeki, których wody ujęto w kanały, młynówki i stawy, przez całe wieki były źródłem wody koniecznej do nawadniania użytków rolnych i ogrodów, do pracy „kunsztów wodnych” młynów, kuźni, browarów i foluszy. Artykuł prezentuje układy wodne na terenach administrowanych przez dwa opactwa: Cîteaux i Mogiłę, w celu ukazania stosowanych przez cystersów rozwiązań w zakresie wielkoprzestrzennej gospodarki wodnej. Przekształcenia krajobrazu, jakich dokonano na prezentowanych obszarach, i ich współczesne skutki winny stanowić podstawę dalszych badań nad wpływem działalności człowieka na środowisko przyrodnicze, historyczne układy i urządzenia wodne powinny zaś być szczegółowo zbadane i objęte ochroną jako dziedzictwo kulturowe białych mnichów.

Cellular structures are characterized by a number of unique properties that can be successfully utilized in the construction of machines and vehicles. Their low density makes them an ideal filling material for laminated structures. The use of the proper method of foam production affects its structure (e.g. the distribution, openness and size of pores, wall thickness between pores etc.), consequently the material properties are affected. Another important issue is the material itself used for metal foam production, as materials meeting increasingly new requirements are being sought, among which are metal composite materials. This work presents theoretical considerations referring to foam making by comparing the water system to a real foam production system.

Coregonid fishes (coregonids) (Salmonidae, Coregoninae) of Siberia show immense morphological and ecological variability, what is reflected in their complex interspecific and intraspecific structure: i.e. occurrence of numerous species, forms and endemic species. Studies of the coregonids of Siberia is crucially important for understanding of their origin, taxonomy and evolution. We have analysed electrophoretically some 13 enzyme systems from over 20 samples of East-Siberian coregonids. This paper was intended as an introduction to a number of primary papers that are planned that will describe the biological and genetic characteristics of studied populations.

There are a lot guidelines and regulations developed in many individual countries for the design, operation and maintenance for tap water systems to avoid the growth of bacteria Legionella. The aim of this study is to show the necessity of regulations for installations inside buildings and to enhance maintenance and operation of the system to reach high reliability hand in hand with cooperation of the competent staff. The core of the article stems from the ‘STN EN 806 Specifications for installations inside buildings conveying water for human consumption’ that have been accepted by the Slovak Republic and prepared Technical report TC 164 and our investigation of Legionella contamination of hot water in a cross-sectional survey in Kosice, the Slovak Republic. In brief we would like to emphasize demands for implementation of precautionary regulations and facility management in conditions of the Slovak Republic.

W artykule zaprezentowano analizę systemu wodnego Młynówki Królewskiej. Przedstawiono jego genezę i zachodzące w nim zmiany od czasów średniowiecza. Poruszono także kwestię powiązań pomiędzy użytkownikami systemu i konieczności tworzenia regulacji prawnych. Za ważną uznano potrzebę zapoznania się z historią danego miejsca w czasie realizacji zadań przestrzennych. W Krakowie dzięki temu utworzony został ciekawy trakt spacerowy śladami Młynówki Królewskiej, z doskonale wkomponowaną zielenią w istniejącą zabudowę miejską. Przeprowadzone prace renowacyjno-rekonstrukcyjne można uznać za właściwie ukierunkowane. Przemawiają za tym zarówno walory ekonomiczne, społeczne, historyczne, jak i urbanistyczne, a przede wszystkim środowiskowe.

The study presents analysis of the water system of Młynówka Królewska, its origins and changes in it since the Mediaeval Ages. The problems of relations between the system users and the need for legal regulations have been also addressed. The necessity for knowledge about the historical aspects of a place taken into account during implementation of spatial planning tasks was an extremely important issue. As a result, Kraków received an interesting walking route tracing the previous course of Młynówka Królewska (King's Leat) with the green areas well incrusted in the existing urban development. The reconstruction work undertaken can be considered as properly directed. Such opinion is based on economic, social, historical, urban as well as environmental values.

People often keep the temperature in PWH tanks set Iow to save electricity and prevent scalding. To kill off the legionnaires bacteria is recommended temporarily turning up the temperature to above 60°C, especially if people prone to the infection are using the water. Large water heaters frequently contain cool zones near the base where cold water enters and scale and sediments accumulate. Design water systems designed to recirculate water and minimize dead legs will reduce stagnation. If potential for scalding exist, appropriate, fail - safe scald protection equipment should be employed. Point of-use water heaters can eliminate stagnation of hot water in frequently used lines. Proper insulation can help maintain distribution and delivery temperatures.

W celu oszczędności energii i zapobieganiu sparzaniu ludzie zwykle utrzymują temperaturę w zbiornikach wodnych na niskim poziomie. Aby zabić bakterie Legionnela zaleca się okresowe podnoszenie temperatury do ponad 60°C, szczególnie gdy ludzie skłonni do zarażenia używają wody z takiego zbiornika. Duże podgrzewacze wody często zawierają chłodne strefy w pobliżu podstawy, gdzie wpływa zimna woda i gromadzi się kamień i osady. Zaprojektowany system wodny zapewniający recyrkulację wody i minimalizujący martwe odcinki redukuje zastoje. W przypadku istnienia niebezpieczeństwa sparzania powinno być zainstalowane odporne na uszkodzenia wyposażenie przeciw sparzaniu. Miejscowe grzejniki wody pozwalają wyeliminować zastoje ciepłej wody w często używanych odcinkach. Właściwa izolacja pomaga utrzymać rozdział i dostarczenie temperatury.
