W artykule podjęto próbę uporządkowania niektórych pojęć spotykanych w praktyce eksploatacyjnej i diagnostycznej. Główną uwagę skupiono na pojęciach: stan techniczny, stan funkcjonalny, diagnozowanie stanu technicznego, diagnozowanie stanu funkcjonalnego, niepewność diagnozy. Omówiono różnice między diagnozowaniem sondującym a dozorowaniem stanu. Sformułowano wymagania odnośnie do struktury obiektu eksploatacji (np. systemu antropotechnicznego) oraz procedur diagnozowania i dozorowania w aspekcie zdatności zadaniowej systemu eksploatacji.

In the article, an attempt was made to arrange concepts found during exploitive and diagnostic practice. The article focused on the following: the technical state, the functional state, the troubleshooting of the technical state, the troubleshooting of the functional state, and the uncertainty of the diagnosis. The differences between troubleshooting and supervising of the state of an object were discussed. The requirements in relation to the structures of the object of exploitations (e.g. of the human engineering system) and procedures of the troubleshooting and supervising in the aspect of the assignment applicability of the system of the exploitation were formulated.

Technical systems are more complex every day as their electronics and mechanics. Technological advances tend to be autonomous in its performance and perform an auto-diagnosis that allows determining an abnormality existence in a component or subsystem and deciding if the system has to be stopped or not. The conventional maintenance does not allow an integrated diagnosis analysis of a system. Among the factors that generated condition can be found a lack of communication between units: bad information management, ignoring relevant information, a lack of a clear monitoring policy and variables tendency.

W artykule autor porusza zagadnienia dotyczące planowania eksploatacji obiektów budowlanych. Dąży się do przedstawienia sposobu rozwiązywania zadań modelowych poprzez poszukiwanie "kompromisów" na podstawie przyjętego "modelu idealnego". Autor próbuje budować modele eksploatacji na podstawie badanych parametrów i własności obiektu oraz na podstawie zdefiniowanego cyklu eksploatacji. Oczekiwane efekty pracy badawczej w tym zakresie odnoszą się do konieczności i potrzeby budowy systemu oceny eksploatacji obiektów budowlanych w celu jego praktycznego wykorzystania. Dąży się także do przedstawienia wyników w formie graficznej.
